No automatic patch for Dues Ex on steam, cannot play.

The news claims that steam will automatically apply the patch for Dues Ex that will make it work on older machines. That patch has not been applied. Is there something I can do to fix this, or at least apply the patch myself?

make sure that that you have "always patch this game",or try downloading it manually,or you can just wait.

Yes, but HOW do I download it manually? The autopatch is enabled and I need my cyberpunk fix, darn it!

try restarting steam,also make sure that your drivers are up to date.

Go to Library-Deus Ex (right click)-properties - Local files- Verify Intergrity of cache. It may be missing files that could be disrupting the patching proces.

It's also possible the patch hasn't been released on Steam yet. Sometimes it can take up to a day (or more depending on how slow devs are) to get their patches out on Steam.

Basically Devs send patch to Valve, Valve inspects, then packages it for distribution on Steam. They have to do this globally so it may take some time.

Well, when I do this the game performs first time setup before crashing and burning. Progress!
