God I hate Continental release dates. I really, REALLY hate them.

North America always gets games first and the difference is always different. Resistance 2 had about a month between NA and Europe, LittleBIGPlanet, Despite being a UK made game, came out about a day or two later, and Demon's Souls came about 7-9 MONTHS later to the EU because no-one wanted to publish a Game of The Year title which sold out fairly quickly. Demon's Souls was almost forgiveable because of this but it seems Nintendo wants to really piss off the PAL regions.

Kirby: Epic Yarn isn't coming in 2010 for us PAL folk... It's coming in 2011.

What makes this more annoying is that I really don't see any point in it. Why give it us then? It'd make more sense for the Christmas period if you already went to North America for it! It's also getting showered with praise with my favourite webcomic having an entire WEEK dedicated to it!

The only way this could be more annoying is if it wasn't already coming out, but since Layton vs Wright (Or vice versa) is already covering that ground, let's let Nintendo Cocktease us PALs.

Calumon: I get it! :D

It's the same down here with movies. Sometimes they don't come out until 5-6 months later. Imagine my confusion when I find out a movie that just came out here is already on DVD back home in the US.

So THAT'S why I haven't seen this title on shelves yet! I am mad as hell! Europe's always getting screwed, and dont think giving us the layton movie before America makes up for it! I already had the lost future spoiled for me cause some jerk couldnt help but give away the villans identity!

Nintendo seems to take this super dickery shit to a new level. I have no fucking clue why, especially since Europe is actually a bigger market for games than Japan. I really don't know why, games companies delay game releases in ceratin countries by months and then moan about fucking piracy. Seriously, just release it at the same time you wankers.

I've always been upset about Game Freak releasing Pokemon with such HUGE gaps between Japan (September), and then NA (April), and THEN Europe (whenever Nintendo feels like it, usually June). That's just cruel. On the other hand, Europeans get treated better by Nintendo than they do by a lot of other game companies, when they aren't getting screwed over with release dates for Pokemon, Brawl, and Kirby. Mario Kart Wii actually came out in the EU first, as did the 25th anniversary Wii/DSi XL and Super Mario collection. The EU also ended up with Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland whereas NA never saw the light of that one (though in retrospect we probably don't want to, either).

Did I ever make it clear that I'm desperate for Nintendo/Gamefreak to hurry up with Pokemon Black/White?

I lol'd. But yeah, sometimes I truly hate living in Australia. Mainly for the ridiculous guitar prices, but for other things in general.

It does seem like a pretty big fuck up on Nintendo's part. Europe and Australia have to wait 6 months for Kirby's Epic Yarn. What the hell are they doing to the game that's taking 6 months? Don't Nintendo realize that people have the internet these days, and all the EU and Australian people are seeing all the praise it's getting from the North Americans? By the time March comes, the hype will have really died down. I think I'll just put my SNES on and play Kirby's Fun Pak.

But at least we get British sitcoms.

You take what you can
That cheered me up, thank you.

Yeah, screw Kirby, you Americans can have him. We've got Alan Partridge.
