I play my Xbox to relax, not to get sweaty and look like a dick

I prefer PC anyway, but now Microsoft are bringing out this shitty Windows 8 touch stuff, which they will no doubt try and get the Kinect to work with or something

My boyfriend got the Kinect for christmas, and it was fun. For 30 minutes. It hasn't really been touched since, and it feels a little bit like they're just shoehorning it into a select few games, where something like a microphone could do just as well.

Unfortunately (for my wallet), Fable 4 will use Kinect, so I'll have to get one...
Fable 4? You sure you can call Fable Journey a proper Fable? If I speak my mind freely it looked worryingly much like a Kinect advert more than a real game.

I prefer the term "Zomguard"

Well, considering that had some great success with the Kinect, why not push it and try to ride the train? Seems like they made a pretty profitable choice.

I will not buy this record, it is scratched!

I mean, I will not buy this Kinect...because I don't actually haven X-Box.

Also, my hovercraft is full of eels.

I just want to say that using a Kinect got me punched in the face. I haven't touched it since.

Do you know why they show 85% of Kinect? This is why:

From the previous year Kinect took the image that it was for party games, like Dance Central and all that stuff. People saw that it wasnt able of scanning objects like the trailer showed and that it wasnt capable of finger tracking. They saw that the focus of Kinect wasnt the hardcore titles.

This year Microsoft showed us that Kinect can scan objects, can finger track, it will have hardcore titles that can take advantage of the capabilities of Kinect without forcing the player to give up the controller. They showed that casual titles for families was still part of their target audience. They showed hardcore titles that could only be played with Kinect since that was the main appeal of said titles.

Basicly they covered up what they didnt cover last year so I dont think that next year there will be a lot of Kinect (there will be but just for 15/20 minutes to present the line-up of new games).
This was necessary for them, you may not like the games or what they did with Kinect but you must comprehend why they showed it.

Also, Kinect was something that people wanted a lot before it existed, do you remember when Minority Report came out? Everyone was like "OMG, that interface is SO COOL, just using your hands, I WANT THAT!". Yeah, Microsoft did that and now people complaint. Maybe they should have used their brains first and thought about how inpratical that was.

They gave us what the community wanted, instead of bitching about them ***** about the community and how everyone is just a spoiled brat.

Remember the game that comes with it where you have to ride on a moving platform and dodge obstacles that appear? Well one of the obstacles that popped up was one of those gates you have to pull open. Since it was my first time playing I thought I'd try to duck under, placing my face perfectly in range to receive a full force backhand from my opponent who was pulling back at the same time. Of course I fully blame Microsoft. They should have put a warning on the box that said "Caution! May result in face punch".

Well, I don't have it, so I haven't experienced it, but I think I get the idea.

I doubt they'll ever make Kinect a required part of their system. The only thing I think could happen is that Kinect quits being a peripheral and they decide to just implement into the next Xbox.

On the other hand, I like the idea of being able to scream at my squad in Mass Effect.
Yeah, but if they don't respond to, "Why did you have to go die you fucking morons!" I'm not sure it will help that much.

I lost faith in Microsoft's PR department when they introduced a fucking Sesame Street game during their main conference. I'm really looking forward to the PS3's new line-up :D

Even if I do want the Kinect, I can't get it because I know for the next couple of years I won't have enough room to play it without hitting something or someone in my college dorm room.

Its a rabble, rabble, rabble thread! Hooray!

Have you tried it yet? I thought the Wii was stupid until I played it. Still won't get one but I now know its actually rad.

If you have tried Kinect, say so in your post, so I don't have to type this.

I probably will never get Kinect and the ME3 voice interface does sound stupid.

However it is the start of virtual reality. That is cool and kinda scary. (Kinda is a word now? Jeez, no red squiggly? Damn there wasn't one for jeez either.)
yeah, i played kinect, i will never shell out £100 for it though...
if it comes with my xbox when my Discontinued Elite(that works fine s i'm not getting rid of it) finally breaks down, then sure, i'll take it, and enjoy it, but i will not buy it separately/if it adds cost, seeing as how i can just use the family Wii which is wired up to a second TV perpendicular to the Xbox (in a +, vertical is my chair and the Xbox 37' TV, and the horizontal is the Wii andthe 27' TV(since it's rarely used)

Look 360 and triple A titles are already sold to the people, now they need to sell granny and little jimmy on the Wii ripoffs.

This really only affects you if you feel the unyielding need to flail your extremities like a monkey.
just wait till japan sees this and gets their 18+ head on... "flail your extremities" could turn into more than arms and legs...
