So i can kill my liver from drinking to much, but I'm not allowed to do the same with vicodin and percocet. Save those old school pills now they will fetch nicely on the black market.

What I dont understand about the FDA is that they have complete control over what gets approved in the United States. Why do they allow drugs to reach the US market then appeal them? Its a waste of money, either let them be on the market with warning labels or don't release them at all.

Ummm is the answer because their an underfunded organization, that lack the time to provide critical testing on these drugs. Plus sometimes they believe at the time that the rewards outweigh the risks.

Wow painkillers will kill you. Who knew?
But you won't feel it, so that's nice.
Dying from paracetamol-poisoning is quite shitty, actually.
Who would've guessed that you need a liver to live?!

Do they really have complete control? Why then on every damn commercial for weight loss pills or cholesterol cures you see the fine print "These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA?"

Pharmaceutical companies suck balls.

I thought the US had some of the strictist guidelines for clinical trials. Much better than the UK. It is odd that they didn't research the effects thoroughly first.

But, they could turn you into Rush Limbaugh.
And that's a fate worth than death.

I'll just stick to my muscle relaxers and meth. It's like you want to crawl out of your own skin, but you can't because your arms and legs won't move.

yeah but most of the time the pharmaceutical companies complain to the FDA about how their patent on the drug will run out and they will not be able to recover the losses before the generic comes out. So the FDA passes the Drug while the pharmaceutical company does the clinical trials and that's why we find out later the negative side affects.
