Garrus was cool too, but only because he's the least awful tech support you can use. He still died every 7 seconds and didn't do much damage, but at least he isn't a prick like Kaidan.

Wrex was a dike I killed his ass. in fact I wish I could have killed most of my party. none of the characters are even half as interesting as in kotor, but of course the way better combat makes up for it.

What!?! Atleast they are in there to some capacity. Garrus and Liara were my wing..errr.. persons. Wrex unfortunately met with the business end of Ashley's pistol.

It wasn't my fault dammit! I tried to talk him down; make him see there was another way but Ashley got an itchy trigger finger and intervened. I stood there in stunned silence for a minute; astonished at how the situation escalated beyond my control. My squad was now one down.

Later on I figured, "if Ashley is willing to step in for me, what else must she be willing to do?" So myself and my loyal duo of Garrus and Liara went hastily to her aid; all the while thinking there would be enough time to get back and save Kaiden. Again I was confronted with failure, and the enemy base along with Kaiden was vaporized as the Normandy entered the upper atmosphere.

The first human Spectre in history and I had already lost two comrades in the space of a day. What a monumental fuck up I was. So this is what it feels like to be a commander...

Isn't it amazing how Mass Effect is able to make us actually feel regret for loosing a team member? Frankly, I'm horrified at what they told us will happen in Mass Effect 2, where the Normandy will be attacked and depending on some choices you make in the game your entire squad will die or Shephard will sacrifice himself to save everyone.

If I actually have to make the choice I'm not sure what I'll do... the idea of loosing Shephard is hard to swallow. But it's about doing the right thing.

See there? Bioware has actually made me feel how I feel when I think of sacrificing my life for others.
