Aaaaargh. I understand the whole "morning after pill" and abortion thing that people are against (despite not agreeing with them), but condoms are about as evil as jerking off. It's just as wrong as NOT having sex. If you don't have sex, the child will not be born. If you have sex with a condom, the child will (hopefully) not be born.

God fucking damn it. These people are fucking stupid.

That's exactly their point. Group it together with substances that are proven to do more damage to your body and people will start seeing it as a harmful practice.

My post was about withholding yourself from sex, not the pill or condoms. It's still messed up though.

I think what's what he means they're thinking: group sex itself with stuff like heroine so people think it's super bad and don't do it. Not group the condoms and stuff with drugs.

Am I the only one who doesn't see this as such a big deal? Getting a condom prescription where I live is ridiculously easy, and honestly makes sex in bulk incredibly economical. I mean, as opposed to spending 3 bucks or so on a pack of five condoms, you spend about a dollar to a dollar fifty and get about 50 quality condoms in a variety of styles and flavours.
If getting a prescription for condoms there is anything like it is in New Zealand, it'll only encourage sexually mature people (The only people who are truly embarrassed about getting birth control are the people who probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place)

I think I get the gist of it now. I wonder, then, what their aim was with such an outrageous ordinance? Typically in situations like this, someone's getting a benefit that's not immediately apparent. I mean, banning condoms doesn't even sound CONSERVATIVE.
