Chris loses for resorting to racism. Just bad form.
And even if he did not resort to such a underhanded tactic Mr Rogers would have won anyway.
I concur.

Here in NL we only had our own localized Sesame Street, and it was (is) huuuuge.
Mr. Rogers probably never made it past Canada, so I bet most people where: "Bwuh?".

Please think a bit more on stuff like this when you pick your two options, guys!
Wikipedia is your friend when checking if your audience knows wtf you're on about :\

...you could only watch Sesame street for so long before you finally said "I know my numbers, I know my abcs, I know all this stuff".
That's when you graduate to The Electric Company & 3-2-1 Contact (If my memories of those shows are correct.)

Neither Sesame street nor Mr. Rogers was in my childhood. As a kid i heard much about it and i wanted to see it, but it just wasnt in the TV Program and the first time i heard about Mr. Rogers was only a few years back.

So i really cant grasp any hype about either of those shows. My early years were probably dominated by the Muppets, which in turn teached me that women are pretty scary.

Chris, Kyle, I'm sorry but you are both wrong. The correct answer is "Bill Nye the Science Guy".

Okay, kids. If we're talking about cool, educational shows, let's talk about Beakman's World.

Anyone heard of that show? Of course not. Only cool people know about it. THIS is where that nerd Bill Nye copied his show's concept. Beakman was the precursor; the first science guy to turn science cool and not-boring at all. Beakman taught me so many useful things to the point where I'd go to school and know a tad bit more than the other kids. It taught me useful things, it made me smarter, none of that dumb "Oh, well, here's how to tie your shoe!" and "Let's learn to jump and run around in circles!". Anybody can teach me that. And even so, I'm pretty sure I would have eventually figured out which way is up and down by myself.

Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers were okay for a pre-school kid...for a little while. You can only teach the same topics over and over again before the kid gets bored. The characters were great and memorable, and that's why the show is still alive today. But that's about it. Beakman was great if you just wanted to be smarter, to learn while watching TV.

To me, Sesame Street was fun to watch if there was truly nothing else to watch and I didn't feel like tuning in to an action movie or whatever. Mr. Rogers, though, was just plain creepy and made me fall asleep. I never truly understood what he was trying to teach me, what with the dull puppets and his low, monotone voice. That's just me.

I think we need a debate series of Best Nickelodeon Shows from our Childhood. You know, when the channel was actually awesome. Double Dare vs. Guts. Clarissa Explains it All vs. Pete & Pete. The Secret World of Alex Mack vs. Space Cases. Doug vs. Rugrats. There are SO MANY POTENTIAL MATCHUPS.
