Best Devil Ever - with Jim Sterling!

God took time out of his schedule of being thanked for Jim Sterling to bless the No Right Answer crew with Jim's presence. Can he convince us of who the best Devil is?

Please the best devil ever was Ray Wise, from the TV show Reaper. Everyone knows this.

Hate to be "that guy", but do you do realize Hades in not a Devil, right? He was just flanderized a lot because that is a Disney animated movie, to the point he is devilish due to being "the bad guy"...

In that sense, Ghost Raider, Constantine and Devil's Advocate presented better versions of the prince of darkness. Heck, I would take Little Nicky's version over that one.

Nobody beats this Devil, man.

I'm serious, it's the best Satan I've ever seen on screen. Not some fist shaking angry man, just a mysterious stranger.

No love for RObert De Niro in Angel Heart? best devil I've seen. Or Al Pacino in the The Devil's Advocate.

I hear Marriott hotel rooms make great sets XD

This was pretty neat. Any chance we'll see any other impromptu cross-overs from Expo?

How the hell does this scoring system work? They just get a point every time they make a point, except Jim didn't get a point on the last one so the other guy arbitrarily 'won'?

We actually kinda want this monster to win, and in a way, he does, and is happy about it, and we kind of are too!

EDIT: I have to write that Jim "won" this one as to the two they chose. Hades is almost a clown. You can sympathize with him but he's not chilling like Vigo. But Vigo's part is very small in that movie. Less time to mess it up. I still vote I win so far :)

Ray Wise in "Reaper" was great, but I think he stands on the shoulders of other fun-loving Satans such as the fantastic Ray Walston as the dancing, singing Mr. Applegate from "Damn Yankees!" and the unforgettable Walter Huston as Mr. Scratch in "Devil and Daniel Webster".

So glad someone mentioned De Niro in Angle Heart, I'll gladly second it. Also liked the depiction in Constantine, though it's such a shallow movie overall it's hard for me to recommend much.

Pacino is... just too Pacino. It's amusing, but very 'Hoo-hah!". Could've been so many of his characters.

Well argued, gentlemen. I probably would have tried to argue Pacino's character in The Devil's Advocate rather than Mortinson's. You can sort-of see where Pacino is going with his plans and schemes, if in a bit of a cartoon supervillain kind of way (very much like Hades, in fact), and from a purely humanistic standpoint, has some pretty attractive ideas (why yes, I would like to have sex with that beautiful woman to conceive and raise a child with her... minus the side-effects of creepy context and possible Armageddon).

Perhaps discussing lawyers arguing about Satan is a little too... "meta" for No Right Answer? I can see how that would get weird.

Fo' shame.

He was actually going to be my choice. I just couldn't think of much else to say about him other than "LOOK AT HIM HE'S AMAZING" though.

Well they're talking about this specific version of Hades, not the one from actual Greek mythology. In the Disney version Hades is "the devil".
I know, I am just such a mythology nerd that I can't help to point that out every time someone brings that version of Hades out.
