One word: Arnold

While Doug would be some boring dude obsessing over the latest piece of social media and Tommy would be failing on YouTube, Arnold would probably actually be the next James Bond. He's already gotten some real spy experience, and the dude's actually been able to make pretty much all his enemies into friends at some point. That football head houses some serious skills!

Or he would turn into a hipster, rendering the argument moot.

Yeah, I see hipster-hood in his future.

Never mind.

I saw way more of myself in Doug than Tommy. Doug was a lovable wimp, a romantic, a sensitive guy. He was average but ambitious and as he didn't always succeed - he was real. Doug may not have been the most successful later in life but I see him as one of those people who'd do a low-paying job because they loved doing it. Tommy... I never really related to him at all. He was a born leader but not a good friend and when he didn't get what he wanted or things weren't going his way he'd just cry and wait for someone else to make things right. Not that I'm holding that against him, he was a baby. He would have probably grown up to be a politician.

But Arnold - fucking Arnold was and is the man. Orphaned at a young age, ward of awesome grandparents, friend to pretty much all and owner of an awesome bedroom. Arnold's only real flaw was that he was easy to take advantage of but he would generally identify when this was happening. Still, a great networker and a person who wouldn't back down from any challenge. Arnold could achieve anything he put his mind to.

Or he'd end up murdered and stuffed like a human soft toy by one, Helga Pataki.

Other tha Lisa Simpson, the only ones I can think of right now are Phineas and Ferb. Anyone that can break the natural laws of physics on a daily basis WILL succeed in life.
Nice pic of Draken, btw.
Kim+Ron? Do they count?
Probably. The whole "saving the world" thing will probably keep going way until their adult years, but who knows if they can ever make an actual living out of it. I' like to think they'll make it happen somehow.
But: Real villians just shoot you. Short life expectancy.

Tommy Pickles wins that no argument. The dude had skills, he could turn to any area of life and suddenly rally people around him and work it out. He'd be an engineer except that he's fantastic with people and pretty darn cool, so that makes him what? An astronaut?

Doug Funny vs Tommy Pickles

Let's all be honest here; We all love cartoons. But as we grow up and the characters we loved stay forever young, is this because they aren't real, or because they couldn't hack it as adults? Let's find out, between Tommy Pickles from Rugrats, or Doug Funny from Doug. Post your choices below or on twitter!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, didn't the beats fall apart and wasn't that his dream to get them back together? Not like that's the dream of any other person who follows a band.

Tommy Pickles has my vote.

Was that Reboot the complete series in the background? You just earned some credit in my book.
