i'm a be the dick and lead off with

both suck.

the Lanterns get a ring that gives them the ability to manifest what ever out of light, but it runs on AAs (or maybe a motorcycle batter with how big the batters them selves are) -.- and your weakness if a fucking COLOR -.- great i'd have to watch out for caution signs and oh, my biggest enemy, specializes in it.

the Jedi are 'badasses' with cool swords and neat powers ..... that have only ever been cool them selves in the NON CANNON games (Force Unleashed. or, how the force should have been to start with) and your not aloud to have any kind of a life, or any kind of joy cause that could lead to the 'dark side'.

Just to clarify, we're arguing over number two right? Exactly, we all know the Grey Knights are the noblest order around, and then the Adeptus Custodes and THEN the Jedi. Ok, clarified, carry on.
sounds like we're arguing over #3 by your listing
Grey Knights
Adeptus Custodes
then, the doods with the glow-sticks, and no personality

Moreover, the jedi order lies about their methods. They preach about nonviolent solutions and yet their first resort when faced with a problem is to shove a sword up its ass. The GLC is both decidedly open about their violent nature and less brutal than the jedi order.

So yeah I'm gonna have to go with the GLC on this one.
This one clinched it for me, the indoctrination didn't bother me so much because the Jedi code is basically 'be good' which is something parents have a responsibility to indoctrinate their children with anyway (this would be an interesting tangent, if you believe morality exists ie there's some weird un-universally God thing, then the God created morality for you to choose right, so it's good for your children to be moral, on the other hand in creating morality God gave your children a choice (albeit with pretty darn clear hints which one would be better to take) so you've got to think about respecting that. If you believe morality is an outcome of the interactions of society then you believe all morality is indoctrination and indoctrination that benefits mankind and therefore you should indoctrinate your children *If you're finding indoctrination a distasteful word here, replace it with teach and think about that*, if you don't believe in morality at all but are an Ayn Rand, life is finite get the most out of it person, then by indoctrinating your child you're gaining more power over them and thus improving the comfort of your life, so you should indoctrinate your child till the point where it doesn't take too much sacrifice on your part (I don't think many people ever follow through on the logic of this life view in most cases thankfully and unknowinhly adopt one of the above. Rand would probably like to be thought capable of this))

so yeah, getting back on tangent, and all the jedi's say is pretty good, but how they act is a complete contradiction, rather than see any pro-active non-violence we see violence and petty squabbling, so no matter how bad the green laterns are, the jedi only pretend to be noble

If you can forget Mitochlorians you can forget the Ryan Reynolds film. I think that's only fair.
Ditto

But For my part I vote GL Crops as the most noble, because They are run by a bunch of guys that basically said, hey, we know we are not perfect, see "The Manhunters" We know we can screw up, but we also know that there are people out there across the galaxy that are capable of embodying the ideals we strive to live up to, as such we made a peace keeping force for this purpose.

On the other hand, the Jedi leadership has a serious superiority complex surrounding them.

The Guardians are willing to admit that they have made mistakes before, the Jedi council still struggles with this, as such GL Corps wins. IMO

Oh yeah, the Green lanterns and their creators are totally noble, I mean tearing out someone's internal organs and personality to replace them with robotics and a power battery to act as their internal police is totally justifiable.

And the Manhunter robots? Stroke of genius!

/Sarcasm.
Yes because they totally do that without the persons consent.
Feh, I saw the story when it was introduced, the "volunteers" had no clue what they were getting themselves into.

However, could you imagine this guy with both a ring and a lightsaber?
I haven't kept up too much with him, but how many different colored rings did he ever have?

I know green, yellow, and red, but has he had any other colors too?
There are 9 ring colors: Black, White and the standard 7 Roy G. Biv rainbow colors:
Red, Orange, Yellow Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

I don't know how many rings Guy Gardner has ever had.

Show = terriable, he gets points for ignoring lore brought in the new moives, sure mita-whatever are horrid in the extreme but you shouldn't get points for ignoring your own universe's lore!

I'm tempted to go with the Jedi based on the guaridans alone because of how they have been portrayed lately in the comics. Just look at what they did to Ganthet.

as much as i dislike them ....

gotta give it the lanterns.

the jedi code alone makes me want to knock out teeth, and how 'noble' is it to kill your own emotions (why yes :D i did roll a Sith, how ever did you know?)
