Their debate methodology is pretty weak. The read-headed dude throws too many softballs, misses too many good arguments, and seems to lose a disproportionate amount of time.

On top of that the way individual arguments are scored are fucked. Half the time one side has the stronger argument but the side that yells louder still gets the point.

An easy solution would be to let the viewers decide the winning position week to week, but it only fixes half te problem.

I never really wanted down to Earth, serious faced intellectual shit from them. I mean, the show is called No Right Answer. What do you expect? It's not meant to be much deeper than an amateur podcast.

Eh I just see it as a show for laughs, not actual debating. Who cares about who wins? I just want to see how they prove their point :p.

It's a show for yucks.

Maybe I'm seeing it wrong, but No Right Answer was never meant to be a serious, professional, indepth debate series. It's just two nerdy guys in front of a camera, knocking examples back and forth of why they're right, for a laugh.

Either you laugh at it or you don't.
You! With the common sense! Enough of that! This is a place of rage, hatred and disappointment. Keep your correct observations to yourself!

[sub] PS. I agree with you both[/sub]
Please don't paint the people criticising the show as youtube commentors. This is a place of indifference, mild dislike and disappointment. Can you actually see anything that could be considered rage and hatred?

Attention: Nearly Everyone Who Disagreed With Me:

You are wrong.

No no no, I'm kidding! But most of you did miss my point, though. I don't care (and I said I don't) if their arguments aren't serious. That's probably what you guys like about them so much. I also, for the most part, don't even care what they choose as their best/worst other than that the lack of options makes them appear unprepared. I, pretty much, am complaining about their production value and no I don't think it's a tasteless nitpick.

I'm looking at you:

As for bashing their production value... that's a nitpick. A rather tasteless one.
For one, I don't think "bashing" is the right term for posting a short essay explaining why I feel their show lacks the professional feel of a paid feature. Bashing would be "You suck! What are you: filming on a video-phone?"

Secondly, if this were a show on Youtube, I would be agreeing with you. But it's not. It's not on Youtube. It's on a slick website featured with other, sleeker, material. Even Feed Dump, which features hard video cuts, is somewhat practiced before-hand.

As pointed out, I took all that time to give some constructive criticism for a show I know I could enjoy if only the bad production wasn't always jarring me from really paying attention to what they have to say. The presentation of information, even opinions, is important and hardly ever a nitpick.

Also: kindly don't reduce my entire opinion down to, what is essentially, a slur... it's very rude.

Twas sarcasm. Apologies if it was misconstrued. My bad.
