For some reason since today Firefox will just stop playing audio. I play a couple of YouTube videos and then it just stops. I have to close the browser to make it work again and it's annoying as hell. Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks.

BTW it's version 10.0.2 on Windows 7 Home Premium.

Erm, don't know - it could be a bug or something add-on related. But at the very least, can you check the Volume Mixer (right-click the volume icon in the taskbar) and see if Windows hasn't decided to turn down the volume for FF. I've had that happen with Winamp (I think it was Skype related in some way) and even after explicitly telling Windows "Dude, chill own and don't touch the volume settings." it still does it. And the worst thing is that it's not even consistent.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Weirdly enough I have the same problem, I play a few youtube videos or songs on grooveshark and the audio then cuts out. I found that it also happens on all browsers as I am using Chrome at the moment, I tried Firefox and Explorer and the same problem happens. Its also not an audio driver issue as I've tried reinstalling drivers.

As to what DoPo said thats not the problem, its just that the browser is not sending any audio at all even at full volume.

Ah, thinking slow today. Yes, I should have suggested trying with other browsers to see if FF is the problem.

It could be a Flash problem but it could also be something wrong with speakers/sound card/sound drivers. I'm pretty sure you can tell the difference between "speakers don't work properly" and "specific sounds don't work properly" but it is worth checking just in case[footnote]Once, I spent half an hour fixing my speakers when I played an MP3 that only had sound for the right channel...[/footnote]. If it's still only browsers, see if Baldur's gate website [http://www.baldursgate.com/] is still having problems (it's the only one I can think of right now that doesn't use Flash to play the sound). If it's still bad...I have no idea, I'd say it's something wrong with your machine. If not, it's probably Flash, try upgrading. Although, it is possible that it was an update that broke it, in which case...I don't know again.

Oh yeah I should mention its only Firefox. I checked Chrome and it sermed to be fine and I'd already looked at the audio mixer and there didn't seem to be a problem. I should also mention it did it through headphones too. I havent been on my computer today so I'll see if theres still a problem tomorrow.

Thanks for the help though guys. Much appreciated
