What if there were female Turians in the game and we couldn't tell at the time. LOL! I frequent the joke of how surprising it may be if it turned out Garrus is the female of the species.

Most navies prevent Women serving on submarines, maybe Turian ladies ain't good on spaceships? Might be the same reason there's no fat people in Mass Effect, space fitness and all that.

I believe we at least hear a female elcor in ME2, during the ads for the 14-hour all-elcor Hamlet.

Mildly surprised: I did not notice that, but I will be sure the check it out.

Is it just me or are there no turian females in either mass effect one or two?
Yes, there aren't any. There were none in ME1 because of budget limitations, but in ME2... who knows. Probably just an oversight.

There you go. Looks pretty decent and possible, but it's inofficial.
Looks plausible indeed.

I would love to see some sort of ME baby day-care center. A little quarian rolling around in his/her sterile bubble, little baby krogan beating all the other kids up, a tiny hanar spouting 'Enkindle this' in a high pitched voice. That would be epic.
Oh, do i want to see that. But i don't think Bioware will let anything so cute in Mass Effect, since it's supposed to be GRIMDARK now.

I'd actually laugh if it turns out Garrus was female, but "he" prefers using a male pronoun to describe himself.Or is a transvetite.
Oh god I wish Bioware won't read this post and implement it.

Mass Effect 1 didn't have them because of time and budget limitations. Mass Effect 2 didn't have them because... er... Nobody knows.

It would be nice to see female Turians, especially after Garrus' "I had reach, she had flexibility" speech.
That was one of my favourite conversations in Mass Effet 2.

OT: I dont recall seeing any femals of any race other than humans/asari.

No Krogan, Salarian, Elcor, Hanar, Or Volus females either. Well maybe in Mass Effect 3...
There is a female Krogan actually, goes by the name of Natorth. You can find her by Shaman Urdnot on Tuchanka. She's slightly smaller and has a more feminine voice by Krogan standards I guess, but unless you talk to her and get the response where she says something about the female clans it's hard to tell the difference, even less so if you're just passing by.

There's also a female hanar, at least I assume it's a female, on the cover of Fornax. Does that count?

That said, I'd certainly like to see what a turian female looks like. There was a rather nice inofficial concept art somewhere of one, I'll see if I can dig it up.

Edit; ninja'd on the Krogan female. Damnit.
That's a cool picture.

Incorrect. Salarian are the opposite of Asari, they don't have a female form really. They're amphibians and reproduce through spores. Elcor, Hanar, and Volus 'females' are indisquishable from males. And there is a notable Krogan female, that shows how hard it is to tell them apart. Go to Tuchunka and the krogan standing near the Shaman, Naroth I think her name is, is there. She's a female krogan, it's REALLY hard to notice.

Turian females have not been shown however, Bioware admitted this on the forums and gave a sort of half assed excuse of "They don't really leave thier homeworld."

I swear I saw a krogan female in Urdnot... although I think elcor and hanar have so little difference, if any, so...

There is probably a standing order to keep all Turian females away from Shepard. He has a habit of inspiring infatuation, and that could cause an interstellar incident.
He's basically Captain Kirk.

Something I would love to see in ME3 is the ability to take a look at the genesis planets of all the citadel species. It would bring lots of variety to an already well-threshed out game. With that in mind, it would be cool to see 22nd century Earth as well. Also, it could reinforce all the backstory in the codex, and give players insight into more local and galactic politics. No, I don't want ME3 to be the West Wing in space (though they already hired Martin Sheen) but it would give us an opportunity to see the male - female dynamics of alien species.

Yeeeeaaactually, there are Salarian females, the bar on Illium in ME2, there's a Salarian with a group of humans who are giving him a bachelor party, and the Salarian says that "he's just gotten a mating permit".

They have no female form is what I stated. They aren't female, they're amphibians, they do what some of our frogs on Earth do, they jump sexual organs to promote mating when needed. They all look and sound 'male' to our ears, there is no way for us to see if they have the female sex organs.
