Sephiroth from KH 2 (if i haven't been ninja'ed already),
honestly this guy is a ***** can literally own u in like 5 secs if u fuck up and when i say fuck up i mean u missed a dodge, regardless of what lvl u are he is a beast i think he had 14 bars of health? and u had no party members so u couldn't change forms, try to beat him i dare anyone.

I beat him at level 68 on normal.

the stupid spider boss in metroid fusion it took me a few years to beat that guy. he wasn't even supposed to be that hard and after i beat him i tore through the rest of the bosses

the second encounter of the proudclad in FF13. damn thing already is hard to damage and when i finally get it below half life, the bastard heals itself completly. then it kills me. after a few tries of that, i was too discouraged to go back to it.

a strong second to that is the false king on demon's souls.

mine was in Parasite eve, where you go up to the top of the crystler building and face the 'true eve' turned out she was resistant to the element on my guns so after i ran out of ammo i spent the next hour and a half taking her on with my baton

Seymour Guado on the cliffside in Final Fantasy 10 and his cluster bomb attack made sure I never completed the game.

same for me, that was the hardest non-boss fight for me, however i did eventually make it past him and finish the game, I was stuck there for QUITE a long time...

hmmmm well on Castlevania COTM playing as a magician it was most definitly death, when i wasn't being a noob and using summoning spells and massing mana pots until my teeth and skin turned blue from them. then on ff12 just about every non required boss, most of which i accidently ran into and thought was a rare monster that gave good exp.

AND ON CASTLEVANIA CIRCLE OF THE MOON, the hardest HARDEST monster that isnt even a BOSS, the arcangel, right outside the effing battle arena. that chick killed me like 3 times when i was trying to run though as a magician and trying my darnest not to get my behind whipped by those freaking circles of light.

The first boss (The Cerberus) and Beowulf. The cerberus because if you go in to melee him, he fills out you screen so you can't see when he attacks (thus, you can't dodge). Later I just stood at the back of the room and shot him with my pistols until he died. Took forever though, lol.

As for Beowulf, I dunno, just something about him that I couldn't take well.

A double fuck you to Ozma! I could never beat him. I'm tempted to go back and try now.. but uh.. I'm scared o.o

Although, if I remember correctly, I could not beat him the first time you can fight him, but the second time (I think it's when Alexandria is under attack by Kuja and Bahamuth) I personally thought was easy.

]Fucking SEPHIROTH in Kingdom Hearts Two. 13 health bars, NO ALLIES [they disable Donald and Goofy], one-hit kill moves that can only be blocked with reaction commands, and when you get him down to the third bar, he fucking RAINS METEORS that if the even touch you, YOU DIE.

I've beaten the game thrice, i'm like level 87, and i have the goddamn Ultima Weapon keyblade and i still can't fucking get close...

Lol really? I beat him on my first playthrough at level 68...this was on normal, of course, so maybe we were playing 2 different difficulties. I won't lie though, it did take me quite a few tries, and I originally tried when I was around level 55.

OT: Though it's already been mentioned, I'll have to go with Dark Link, in Ocarina of Time. I've managed to kill all other bosses on the first go, he's the only one that makes me try several times.

I'm sorry, do you play PROUD mode!? I have files of other difficulties, but i started off the first time on proud, and that's the one that i got everything with... And I am not enough of a HARDCORE gamer to memorize attack patterns... [Which is what someone actually suggested...]

Really? I was at approximately the same level and beat him with Oblivion. And I didn't even level up my drives. I dunno, maybe it was because I did it so many times I practically memorize his attack patterns. Try doing that.

No. 1, My original file was on PROUD mode, and that's the one i got evrything with and let me just say Sephiroth is a DICK on proud...
No. 2, I don't have enough time on my hands to sit and memorize attack patterns...I play more than just KH2...

That freaking thing is ALWAYS harder for me to beat than Baal(Boss of the game, if you count expansion). Guess difficulty curve spikes upward right towards the end of that act.

Or pretty much any boss in Ocarina of Time. Ganon was so easy I was seriously questioning if I'd activated some cheat by accident.

I count Duriel as a benchmark for a hardcore character. if you beat him, you'll live through the rest of the game.

The time in Kingdom Hearts 1 where Riku takes your key blade and you get it back and fight him right after. I can never beat that, it's impossible for me to beat.

I can remember struggling with that'un for a while. Drove me insane, and I think I must have fluked my way past it eventually... Weird thing is though, the game seemed to get easier after that point...

the 2nd el gigante in the trench in RE4 gamecube i f***ing gave up and went the other direction because its impossible to move let alone hurt him i warn anyone who fights him

Lure him underneath the boulder and shoot it, it'll fall and crush him for massive damage. It won't kill him on professional, but if I remember correctly on normal it takes off so much of his health he might as well be dead.

As for me, Demon's Souls is the current flavor of my pain, but I'd also have to give mention to the cannon sequence in Dead Space. Not the one where you kill the boss, just the asteroid shooting gallery. I bet I did that slagging thing fifty times.

i've tried that but i think i did it too early every time but it was easier going to the left instead of right
