Oh f**king hell yes Seymour Flux was a ***** to beat. Lance of Atrophy and Cross Cleave were the banes of my life playing that gamewolfboy23 said:Seymour Guado on the cliffside in Final Fantasy 10 and his cluster bomb attack made sure I never completed the game.
A few headshots from the bolt-action rifle when they're running at you from a distance does the trick pretty well. I killed all of them before they even got close.shticks said:That Damned Wolf boss in red dead redemption.
haha, that's exactly where i gave up on KH1 XDSkullkid4187 said:The time in Kingdom Hearts 1 where Riku takes your key blade and you get it back and fight him right after. I can never beat that, it's impossible for me to beat.
You mean the worm thing that would knock you off the platform and make you play the boss again...and again?nuba km said:[
it was for me the hardest of the dark world bosses but I could always defeat it on my first or second try (I played through the game at least 30 times) for me the hardest boss was the FLOOR you know in the third dungeon the one before you go into the dark world I can't even remember the boss in that dungeon but the floor always takes me like five goes.
also, THAT THING.Julianking93 said:You mean the worm thing that would knock you off the platform and make you play the boss again...and again?nuba km said:[

That? It's name was Moldorm
The Elder Wyrm truly is a nasty piece of work, spamming status ailments all over the place. I really had to break the difficulty curve by grinding in the jungle for some hours. That beast really isn't supposed to be there.StarStruckStrumpets said:Congratulations for getting past Elder Wyrm. That fucker ruined my game. I stopped playing after what is now 234 losses.ThaBenMan said:Well, when I was playing Final Fantasy XII, I only got as far as the second Esper (the one you fight in the old mountain shrine). He just kept healing himself, and I couldn't figure out how to prevent him from doing so - I would just run out of health for my characters long before he did.
It doesn't help that at that point you're very underleveled and grinding is about as easy as making humans fly.
The only boss in FFT I ever have trouble with is the fella in the castle you have to beat once by yourself before you teams enter the fray. You both start in the centre of a tiny arena with very little room to move and he nearly always goes first. You WILL die in 2 attacks unless you've done some SERIOUS extra work on your character. And of course you get prompted to save RIGHT before the fightSpace Spoons said:Velius from Final Fantasy Tactics

FFT isn't a particularly difficult game. If you keep your gear up-to-date and fight with reasonable cunning, you can usually pull through the game's tougher battles. This one fight, though... It's completely unreal. Velius is extremely powerful physically and magically, boasting some of the game's most devastating spells and summons. What's more, he attacks you with a team of three Archaic Demons that are at least half as powerful as he is.
If you're not prepared, you're dead. If you want to survive the fight, you have to play the hell out of this game. Level up, learn new abilities, get the advanced job classes, all that stuff. If you don't see it coming, it's completely unfair.
And, of course, the game offers you the opportunity to save right before the battle. If you make the mistake of saving over your previous data and find that you simply cannot win the battle, you're fucked.
Yes this I ended up hidding up building throwing random shit at here and regenrating on any hunters foolish enough to come up also as soon as he has exposed her weak spot I suggest either ground pounding it or using a devastor on it because it can really cut down on the time you spend on it.DJmagma said:Elizabeth Greene in prototype. she has a main health bar, that regenerates, along with three smaller health bars you have to destroy before you can even touch her. toppled with tanks attacking you and massive hunters jumping everywhere. and the three smaller health bars regenerate. and it fires rocks and green plasma at you that magically lock on to you.
yeah it's a ***** to fight.
I made him my whimpering little biotch on my first try cause I was lvled higher than I was supposed to be at that point... I made it a point to kill everything in my path until the end of the game... and yes it is quite beautiful...Kuroneko97 said:Final Fantasy XIII, Chapter 10 (On The Palemecia).
NOTE: This may be a bit of a spoiler for people who aren't there yet.
Barthandelus, the Fal'cie.

He killed me so many times that I could have hugged George Bush when I beat him. In a way, he's the final boss, but this references to the first time you fight Barthandelus, not the third time.
The funny thing is, he's gets easier as you progress! The next time you fight him, he only killed me once, and I have never died on the third time you fight him. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Oh, by the way, aren't the graphics heavenly in this game? It's like a god made them.
lol I still haven't beaten her and I got that game when it came out...Uber Waddles said:Yunalesca in FFX. Zombie, Reflect, Cures.
If you could beat her on the first go (or without spending 19 hours on it), you are a god among men.
Dude that boss was a whore! His one wind attack that wrecks your entire team was completely random. I'm quite certain that the only reason I was able to beat him, was because that attack was random and I only got it once. Even after grinding a few more levels, he was still a *****.Crayzor said:The first boss (The griffon thing on top of the mountain) in Lost Odyssey. Seriously, did anyone beat that first time?
