BREAKING NEWS: Across the Gameverse, all the mainstream video game heroes in the world have been kidnapped by the ultimate evil! It's up to the lesser-known and non-console based game heroes to save the day!
But who comprises this not-so-all-star tag-team of failures and Internet Flash games? YOU DECIDE!
Tell us who you would put into this rescue team, what game, era, and console they're from, and why! They have to be from a much lesser-known single game or series (no spin-offs), preferably something not on a current-gen console (Flash games, older games), but lesser-known current-gen games are acceptable. And no, you can't include fan-made versions of mainstream games (Super Mario Bros.), or characters from older games that have continued into the present (Mario, Link).
________
I'll give the first: Alicia Claus from the 2007 Xbox 360 game Bullet Witch. The game was overall very bad (worth the roughly $20 I paid for it, but only just), but I think it had quite a bit of potential, and Alicia is one of my most liked underground game concepts. Not bad for a Japanese port.
Her abilities include party-healing; minor health regeneration; summoning flocks of ravens to distract foes; using a rose to bring pikes from the ground to impale enemies; a MASSIVE b(r)oom stick that can turn into a machine gun, shotgun, sniper rifle, and minigun, and the ability to imbue those with elemental powers; bringing a HUGE bolt of lightning on larger targets' heads; summoning an F5 tornado to take down airborne threats; and raining FIRE AND BRIMSTONE from the SKY.
And all without any frienly-fire whatsoever. I also personally think she'd have made a good character in Brawl, if built right.
Your turn. GO.
