Non wasd moment keys

My standard control setup is

arrows - movement
rctrl - crouch
shift - reload
enter - use
end - run
num0 - flashlight
num1 - medkit
del / pgdn / num4 - unique equipment / abilities for that game
LMB - primary
RMB - secondary / aim
MMB - jump
thumb1 - grenades
thumb2 - melee
m - map
j - journal
i - inventory

I just like the gap around the arrow keys, it means my hand never gets lost. I tried a few times to use wasd, but I kept hitting the wrong keys and would have to look away from the monitor to find my place again.

Most PC games support USB controllers, there's literally no reason to ever game with a mouse and keyboard.

er, what? You er...don't play many genres of video game do you?

How about you want to play online in an FPS, play a twitch based FPS at all, play an RTS at all, any moba, any 4X, any slightly complex TBS, any vaguely challenging MMO and not be a total liability to everyone around you, multi task, you prefer a mouse and keyboard, prefer the extra accuracy in a 3rd person shooter, play a game that doesn't have support, play a game that doesn't support modern controller triggers, play a game where you need to type, point and clicks... I'm sure I missed some.

You know what the real thing is though? PCs support /multiple/ inputs, tying yourself to just a single input method is pointless.

So WASD just moved over slightly so I can use WAQ as bound keys and still reach shift and ctrl easily.I find it pain in the ass to use the number keys beyond the few directly above my hand.
