Whenever I see some shows I used to watch as a kid. Things like Gundam Wing, Mobile Suit Gundam, Courage the Cowardly Dog (I always found it to be a surprisingly mature, yet childish show), Animaniacs, Earthworm Jim, Pinky and the Brain, etc.
I loved all those shows when I was younger. I think Courage was my favorite.

I was going to sell a game to someone last year but then I remembered when I got it at Christmas from my mother and I started to feel all bad about it so I declined. I still have it too but it does not work as well as it used to from being played so much.

I get nostalgic whenever I hear music from an old video game. For example;

Ahh, so good. I miss that game. The bloody original, not the damn DS remake.

I get nostalgic from old TV shows/movies and videogames, mostly. Music alone.. Not so much. I can do without remember terrible 90's pop, thanks.

I'm sick of gaming companies cashing in on nostalgia to re-release games, but.. It annoys me even more that people seem to eat it up. I'll stick with the originals. Not because they're 'better' (a lot of older games I love? Pretty terrible, to be honest), but because it is them I love.

Pardon the mini-rant, and no offense meant. Just needed to get that out. Bleh.

I'll bet a fair few Escapists remember that.
I vaguley remember that, I can't remember what channel it was on though, my head keeps telling me it was just simply called The Childrens Channel, which also showed cartoons such as captain planet, bucky o' hare and denver the last dinosaur.

I hate nostalgia... It makes people think that "old is good".

Kill it with fire.
Old shit is still shit. When people get nostalgic their talking or thinking about the things that really were good that aren't around anymore...

Surely there is something out there that you'd love to have again?

I can understand if you think it's annoying that people spend lots of money etc on impulse from nostalgia, but that's the only real downside to it.

My sense of smell makes me more nostalgic than anything else.
There is a reason for that...

Smell is the easiest sense for our brains to remember and it tends to stimulate our memories more intensely than anything else because it is closley linked with our emotions too....

Nostalgia to me is just a nice memory. Many things I held dear to me in the past no longer amuse me. Altho I still have a good lot of things I like to see and get reminded of the simpler times every now and then. Hear me talk like I was an old man when I am not even yet 24 years old, I stil can tell, nostalgia is something for everyone who likes to remember a time in the past and enjoys these links to it.

An old movie you used to watch in memories that youwere actually too young to understand or even be allowed to see but you simlply had to.

An old song that reminds you of your very first vacations with your family in other countries.

But as of recently, nostaglgia to me is actually a very entertaining, weekly tradition. Why? Cause I love to watch the "Nostalgia Critic". You might have heard of him, Doug Walker, on www.ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com, where he features a new movie or a list of nostalgic bits every week on Wednesday. And he loves to tear them appart or praise them to no end. But mostly to tear them up. ^^

If you have a few minutes time, I recommend watching his stuff on his page, as he got some very good videos, not only by himself but also by this little army of entertainers at his hand. =p

The animation style looks like 80's-90's. It also looks like an anime as well. What year was it on and what station ran it?

I remember when I was much much younger that I used to watch the Fox Kids cartoons every Saturday morning.

I remember it from early 80s. It was on BBC1 on the odd afternoons as I recall, not sure which station it was on in the USA.

Here is another for all us 80s kids.

That had my fave intro music, but jeez it's embarassing now.

I love the fuzzy feeling nostalgia provides. It's not like I regard older games better than present games, but I still genuinely enjoy the NES and DOS games.

Nostalgia comes when I'm playing, like I said, on my NES. Star Tropics and Super Mario Bros. are two big ol' piles of goodyness on that part.
Also the old 90's cartoons on Cartoon Network like SWAT Kats, Johnny Bravo, Pinkie and the Brain, Dexter's Lab, Courage the Cowardly Dog etc.

It hurts me to see what CN has become now.

Sadly, I was not born until October of 1987 so I did not get to see all those awesome 80's cartoons. If I did I do not remember it. I grew up with 90's cartoons.

I had a Nostalgia moment the other day when I saw my cousin's old BeyBlade. We used to love them when we were younger.

Sometimes a certain smell can bring back some memories, but mostly old movies, cartoons and music that i enjoyed when I was a kid.

Oh god, this one will take a load of people right back, in Videocolor!

Remember those days? We actually had to get up and walk over to the telly to turn it over, and those tellys were made of wood and you have to switch them on five minutes before your program was on to let them warm up.

You had to tune each channel with these little wheel things that were attached to the channel button. Awesome tellys.
