Have you ever gotten to play a game form your childhood which you loved, and then you played it again and... it sucked?
I had Creature's 3 for the PC years and years ago and I loved in, so when it appeared on the PSN I naturally downloaded it. I was very, very disappointed. Maybe the PC version was better but the AI was terrible and I only played it for about an hour before I quit out of fustration.

Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi
Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2

I still love 'em, but they're actually pretty bad games.

Nope, I had excellent taste as a child, it seems. Even Maths Blaster is still fun, albeit a hell of a lot easier.

Every time I try to play a game from my childhood (Myst or Tomb Raider) something causes it to fail. This is either from a scratched disk or it being incompatible with modern OS.

Never, my taste in games used to be even better than it is now before I started listening to "expert" opinions on the internet.

hehe.. there are a couple games.

like I really loved a game called Ramparts for the SNES, but I played it recently, and lol, wtf was I thinking.

On the bright side, I played North and South (NES) Multiplayer with a friend of mine, and that is still awesomely epic for an 8bit game.

The Incredible Machine 3 AKA Professor Tim's Incredible Machine.

I played it again and was unfortunately disappointed. The game I played was not the game that I was distraught about when it was removed from my family's PC (it came with the PC but not the disc and thus was irretrievable).

However, my gaming collection still contains most of the games from my childhood. I still have a load of PS1 games I really ought to get rid of.

And of course I will almost certainly get rid of Cultures 2, Age of Wonders 2 and the Lego Racers games, they have stayed with me for the last ten years and will continue to do so as long as they remain fun.

I haven't had that problem with games yet, just cartoon series from the 80s & 90s not being as awesome as I remember them.

I can't really say the game really "Sucked", but When I'd started playing Final Fantasy VII with my girlfriend, I didn't really find the graphics all that impressive anymore. That's to be expected though, with all the advances done with the visuals in games nowadays. I still love the game of course, but on that level it wasn't up to par. Not to say graphics immediately make a game great by any means.

Let's see...what did I play when I was a kid...Super Mario World 3, and it's still good...Pokemon red works...Tekken 3's good.

I think I had a pretty good taste in game as a kid. Although Pokemon is harder for me now than it was before and I don't know why!

Bluebyte's Historyline: 1914-1918

It didn't turn out crap (in fact I wasted hours on it, well not wasted but you know what I mean)

When I first got Scummvm I went back and playe through all of the Lucasarts Adventure games. All of them were great, although it did somehow surprise me that, as a child, I couldn't complete what I now see as very eawsy puzzles, despite sitting there for hours with my brother helping.

Ah nostalgia, and childhood stupidity. A heady mix.

Well, a couple years back I re-played that old mario game (with the different-coloured yoshi's and the funny cape and stuff, it was on SNES). Anyways, as a kid I used to play it with my nan all the time and love it ... ... ... I hate it, I hate it so very much.
