Not as normal as you think.

This is just a small thing that happen to strike me odd of lately. Is there something you do almost everyday of your life that doesn't make you have a second thought about it but if you do it around other people they look at you like you have a third eye growing out of your forehead? For me it's my sneezes. I know, nothing special, but what you don't know about my sneezes is that they are really, really, loud like gun fire loud. I sneezed behind my boss and he almost crapped himself, he turned to me and asked, "do you always sneeze like that!?" So (just wondering) what is your normal/abnormal thing you do?

I have little ticks, like cracking my knuckles, or tapping on my desk. Sometimes I'll talk to myself without even realizing it, people that see or hear it will be like "WTF!?"

I tap/grind my teeth in the beat of the song that's currently stuck in my head. I barely notice that I do it but I think it annoys and confuses people. Does that count?

When I have a cold, and I'm at home, I keep a lip-balm with me for the sole purpose of applying it around my nostrils. It's a plain, colourless one, and it works wonders against getting a painful, red, raw nose from blowing it all the time. It makes perfect sense to me, but if I forget and apply it like this in public, people look at me as though I just sneezed a great gob of green snot into my hand and ate it with relish.

Then I bet they go home and do exactly the same thing when they have a cold, because it's such a freaking awesome way to make the experience of a cold/flu slightly less dismal. Using the lip balm, that is, not eating the snot. =P

I also talk to myself sometimes in public, and if anyone asks me why I'm talking to myself I always reply, "I'm not, I'm talking to the ninja behind you" Sometimes they look and I laugh.

Apparently I breathe ridiculously loudly on the odd occasion.

It's kinda awkward when I notice people are staring and slowly start to hear the noises I make.

I often speak to myself in public as well, my excuse is that I'm "not talking to myself, I'm talking to whoever happens to be listening". OT though, I whisper "jk" anytime I say something that may be interpreted the wrong way or may sound weird to people. My brother only recently pointed that out to me, its weird.

I start writing music in my head, and I start conducting with the beat, to get the mood right. And people get scared of me for some reason. Not WTF!? looks, just plain scared.

If I do something on one side of my body I have to do the same thing on the other side.
For example if I rup my teeth together on the left side I have to rube them on the right.
It really sucks when I loose count of these things because then I freak out and feel like if I dont get it right im gonna die.
I might have said too much.

Sometimes I start quoting random books, tv, etc.

Like I'll be laying on the couch and feel like saying something to break the silence, so I blurt out "In my mind, I'm probably the biggest sex maniac you ever saw."

Nothing confuses people more than random quotation.

I talk to myself all the time about everything. Little comments in life and I replay the same moment in my head over and over again for hours. It'll be like a 4 word snippet

Ya I quote movies everyday but I always put one out there that none of my friends know what the hell I'm talking about until I explain where its from. Makes myself look pants-on-head-retarded.

My cursing mostly, I've gotten to the point where I no longer notice it.
It's not repetitive or obnoxious, but I'll be like 'Hey man, can I fuckin' borrow that lighter?'
Or 'Your shirt is cute as shit.'

Not that bad per se, but you get the gist...

I also skip around my house and do silly stuff around strangers, which people think is quite odd.

Oh yeah, I also dance while I drive, which gets me odd looks.

I used to do that. That and re-tying my shoelaces until they fell evenly on both sides of each foot.

Anywho, I have a strange sense of humor, and tend to find the funny in very mundane things. When I say it out loud this can confuse people. Even when the joke makes sense it scares them sometimes.

Like the time I suggested a copper condom would be a great way to generate electricity and double as an S&M toy...I'm not into that kind of thing, but it seemed like an appropriate alternative use.

I talk to myself too... *twitch*.

Sometimes when I sit in chairs I cross my legs in the chair. Several people have commented about how they find that weird, but I don't care; I find it comfy.

I guess, I sneeze hard enough to push a 5 foot long table forward a couple inches and I snap my fingers a lot, people find that one odd because I snap with my thumb and index finger.

I've been nibbling the skin off my fingers when nervous or stressed for over a decade now.

Talk to myself, say random thoughts about conversations that ended 3 minutes ago and have now moved on, hum along to music that's only in my head without realising this (I did this in class before, loud enough for half the room to hear me, I had no clue I was doing it too), etc etc etc.

Ya I'm pretty weird.
