Do you have that little, trivial thing in gaming that just pisses you off when a game doesn't have it, has it, or does it? You know... that random little thing most people would never notice, but as soon as you do, you just cannot help but to feel this inexplicable rage? The thing you wish there was a law regarding, but no one else could possibly see the purpose or why you get so annoyed. Basically, the gaming equivalent of that SCHEENK noise produced when someone takes the food off their fork with their teeth.

For me, it's when a game doesn't have a master volume slider. WHY? WHY DO YOU NOT FUCKING HAVE THIS GAME? IT IS SO BASIC. It hurts my soul to open up options after a game blares into my headphones and see no master volume (I HATE loud noises). It's something so minor, but it's the most obnoxious and fucking grating thing when a developer somehow forgets to put it there. I wish it was a law that you have to include a master volume slider in your game. So make a note future and current game designers and programmers: remember to include master volume, or some stranger on the internet will swear at your creation.

I don't know if this counts, but some games (I'm looking at you Persona 4) make their cutscene volume sooo low that I have to turn up my TV's volume. Then when the cutscene is finished, the regular sounds are just blaring through the speakers that I have to rush to put it back down. It pisses me off. I guess it's the constant back and forth, but it still pisses me off!

All of the damn prompts you get from trying to save or load or other actions in the menu. I went through 3 specific button presses and motions already, yes I'm sure YOU DON'T NEED TO DOUBLE CHECK!. And the inverse when it doesn't check if you want to do that, like accidentally destroying a powerful weapon.

When games have the sound FX/radio/music/whatever is two bars away from full volume.
What is the purpose of this, why isn't it all on full to begin with?

I am playing through 999 on the DS right now...and I would kill for a text speed increase option.

I also hate games that spend more than 30-45 minutes without giving me the ability to save.

Finally, I hate fixed camera angles with relative movement control schemes. I have no desire to go back and forth between two areas because you made a drastic change to camera angle.

In Monster Hunter Tri, EVERY, TIME, you do anything you avatar has to do a slow ass animation in which he has to flex his muscles to cha-cha or whoever your playing with. 4 times out of 10 I get hit by the monster and lose all the health i just tried getting back and then some.

Also slow opening/tutorials, usually you have to get through a tutorial before you can save your progress and quit. So a game that has an hour long tutorial with no save spots till the end is particularly annoying.

Though these problems can easily be solved with just having good timing.

No local multi-player options. I hate the apparent assumption that only the people who want to play with anonymous random jerks on Xbox live are more deserving of accommodation then people with ordinary actual friends. >:[

Limited bag space. Why do games insist on limiting the number of items you can carry? Especially in games that have "loot" as a selling point like Borderlands? Maybe it wouldn't be realistic, but I'm playing a game. An acorn can take as much space as a missile launcher, but I only have 8 slots for those acorns. I hate having to trek back to town to sell the 10 useless items I got because my bag is now full or having to choose which of these items I have is my best option to drop after leaving town an hour ago.
