I was pretty disappointed by Disgaea 3, for a while I figured I was about done with the Disgaea series and would ignore #4.

The more I see the more I know that I am definitely going to buy it though. Particularly happy that they have some actually VERY nice looking sprites for their game and, holy crap! Actual animation! Now it may actually seem like it was worth upgrading to the PS3.

The best thing is all of the disgaea games are just as rediculous as the last 3/4 of the trailer. They are never meant to be taken seriously and half of the time they are making fun of both themselves and the entire jrpg genre.

The thing is us disgaea fans actually like the way the game looks. They are not going to completely change something that all of the fans enjoy just because of some new technology.

One of the main charms of the Disgaea series is that it uses sprites. Taking it away from that would be like Megaman going 3D. OH WAIT.

Anyway, I'm glad that they stick to sprites...very few companies still do, but I think they look cool.
