Before I go on, here's some background on The Wall and Pink Floyd for those that don't know. Feel free to skip this paragraph if you already know about it. The Wall is an album by progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It was conceptualized by Roger Waters when he spat at a rowdy crowd during a show of their 'In The Flesh' tour. He wanted to create a wall between him and the crowd. He frankly didn't like touring. The Wall itself deals with the themes of isolation and war, to name two out of the many, and revolves around a character named 'Pink' who creates a wall around himself to block out the world. If you haven't listened to it, do it now!

The Wall Live is a visually amazing musical masterpiece experience performed by Roger Waters and his 11-man band. He is a brilliant showman, talking and interacting with the crowd, and you can really feel that he now loves touring compared to the "poor miserable little fucked up Roger," from the past. He got the crowd cheering, clapping and singing along to experience the journey of Pink from birth to metaphorical rebirth.

Unlike more traditional shows, The Wall Live is both a musical and visual experience. You're not only going to hear The Wall Live, you're going to see it.

The music was brilliant. Roger Waters and his 11-man band are fantastic musicians who really put all their enthusiasm and emotion into playing. It was nice to see them enjoying themselves, especially Roger Waters and the school-kids. While the singers aside from Roger Waters are probably over-looked, I particularly liked them. While he was no David Gilmour, one of the extra-singers still did the chorus of Comfortably Numb well. He had help from the crowd of course. They also shined during the harmonies of 'The Show Must Go On.' One of the musical highlights has to be the solo of Comfortably Numb. You could really feel that he put his soul into it. Now what else can I say? It's The Wall, considered one of Pink Floyd's greatest.

While I can't speak for the acoustics since the stadiums differ and I have no real experience in commenting on them, there wasn't anything noticeably lacking in the quality of the sound. If you want a review of the songs themselves, I suggest you take a wonder to Toastiest Zombie's review of the first-half. The visuals, as I said, are just as amazing as the music. It was mind-blowing and you can really see how much effort is put into making The Wall Live a spectacular gig.

The Wall itself is cleverly used as a projector screen as well as...y'know, a wall. It is constantly changing its colour and content and you'll never tire or be bored of it. You don't want to look away otherwise you might miss something! Projected onto the Wall are animations, real-life footage, pictures, words and more. It does much more than simply be a screen though. It's often incorporated with the rest of the stage and does some very clever things. I won't ruin anymore but it is safe to assume you'll enjoy it. Just when I thought there couldn't be more, there was. It genuinely surprised me what could be done with a few bricks and lights and I'm sure it will for you too.

It makes the concert just that more special. My favourite was the schoolmaster, menacingly standing next to the school kids and taunting them. Aaaah the sweet satisfaction of yelling 'Hey, you, teachers. Leave them kids alone!' Of course there are more than just puppets in the show. Keep an eye out for some flying things too. If you're a Pink Floyd fan, you know what I mean.

So all in all, they were all just bricks in The Wall. If you haven't listened to the album before, do it now! If you're deciding whether or not to go to the show, go! It'll be amazing.

'Twas indeed a great show. If nothing else, it shows how far we've come, technology-wise. I doubt you'd be able to go back even five years and tell people this kind of projection was possible.

The only issue I had with the show (and it's a minor point) was that for Comfortably Numb, the guitars were obviously set up for the second solo. It sounded great, but the first solo, which has a different sound to it, suffered because of it. Which is a shame, because I think I'd put it as my favourite solo of any song. But, it seems the majority (at least the people I've talked to) prefers the second one...

Technology is really progressing. Makes me wonder what Daft Punk could do on their next tour. Shut up, it's going to happen :p.

Honestly I didn't really notice that. I did notice it sounded a little off though. I'll listen to it again.

I saw the show when it was in Philadelphia. It was truly an amazing show, well worth seeing.
