i would like a left4dead 3 more than half life 3 as I perfer l4D and plus i wanna watch another fanboy rage party
Actually, you guys are trolling YOURSELVES. I see no necessary reason why zombies + crowbar = HALF LIFE 3!!!!!!!!!!!Hazy992 said:They're also announcing something on the April 29th. So is this the moment nerds everywhere have been waiting for? Or is Valve trolling again?
They've said they don't want to jump the gun on showing it in case they decide to change something and it falls back into pre-production for another few years, because that would just make people even more annoyedbigfatcarp93 said:But the fact that they've shown or told us nothing is what infuriates me. Hell, Half-Life 2 was getting demos in, what, 2001? COME ON!!!!!!!!
That's a lot of 2s. Where is the new IP? I adore valve when they create new intellectual property. Half life, Portal and TF have all been brilliant games. They can bury Half Life for all I care. More new games please.Vigormortis said:Since 2007 -TorqueConverter said:Does Valve even make games anymore, or has Steam consumed them entirely?
Half-Life 2: Episode 2
Team Fortress 2
Portal
Alien Swarm
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Portal 2
Dota 2
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Um...yeah. Pretty sure they still make games. Why do people even ask this?
Yeah, Valve hasn't released a game since 2011. They have stopped making game entirely.TorqueConverter said:Does Valve even make games anymore, or has Steam consumed them entirely?

Because it's not over.Grey Day for Elcia said:Who even cares about Half-Life anymore? Yeah, it was cool little series. Operative word being was. I think people just enjoy masturbating their nostalgia hardon a little too much. Old series, was fun at the time, there's hundreds of new titles, get over it.
It's like some tragic case of someone never getting over their highschool crush.
Like this person ^ Mention your personal opinion that people need to get over the series and BAM, all offended and upset, calling you a twat and using ad hominem attacks like it's a good way to get across your point.Fluffles said:Because it's not over.Grey Day for Elcia said:Who even cares about Half-Life anymore? Seriously, if Tolkien had just written LOTR 1 and 2 and left it there you wouldn't be saying "why do people eve care about LOTR any more? Yeah, it was a cool little series. Was because I'm an fucking twat who doesn't understand that something that had it's latest instalment released 5 years ago does not warrant nostalgia. It's clearly an old series, and because it's old in my personal opinion that must mean it's worthless now. There's clearly stuff out there that you could enjoy more, might as well forget about it now."
On the list of dumbest things I've ever heard.
I'm sure they have a team working with the F-Stop mechanic they had originally planned for Portal 2.TorqueConverter said:That's a lot of 2s. Where is the new IP? You don't know how VALVe works as a company. You don't know if they are working on it (which I assure you, they would be). As I mentioned in my last post: VALVe has a structure where everyone is equal and they do whatever they want. So someone will have an idea and recruit others to work on that idea with them inside the company. So people can move (literally move their desk) to whatever project they want.Grey Day for Elcia said:Like this person ^ Mention your personal opinion that people need to get over the series and BAM, all offended and upset, calling you a twat and using ad hominem attacks like it's a good way to get across your point.Fluffles said:Because it's not over.Grey Day for Elcia said:Who even cares about Half-Life anymore? The series was cut short. Valve's not working on it. Move along. Did Half-Life save you from a burning building as a child, or something?
For the record, the Lord of the Rings trilogy were three small books in a massive collection of writings in the Middle Earth universe and it's nowhere near being "finished" and resolved. I'm a huge fan of the lore and I couldn't give one toss that the world will never be complete. Know why? What I did get was enjoyable and that's enough. I've, you know, moved on with my life.
See what I mean? Give the Valve/Half-Life fanboys and girls one nibble or throw out an opposing opinion and they'll go on and on about it for weeks.Fluffles said:You don't know how VALVe works as a company. I highly doubt that there is nobody in the entirety of VALVe who wants to work on HL3. That's just ridiculous. I would say that that means that it's not cut short, it's having a long development cycle, which VALVe is famous for having. It'll be done when it's done, and it'll probably be damn good.
And my point was that it's not like Tolkien went and stopped the series. The series was over. Your point about the universe not being full is pointless.
So in conclusion: you're wrong.
Maybe you should stop posing questions to nobody and start reading it.Grey Day for Elcia said:See what I mean? Give the Valve/Half-Life fanboys and girls one nibble or throw out an opposing opinion and they'll go on and on about it for weeks.
