Bah, only got tons of pictures of this crappy band anyways. Saw the description in Urban wiki though. The infamous "runkbulle" here in Sweden!

Oh yeah, you mean that guy that performed a song that actively encouraged people to riot/break stuff at Woodstock '99?
He's still getting blamed for that? If I recall, he's performed that at numerous other festivals without starting a riot.

Eh, anyway, OP: I actually like a lot of their old stuff, not really got into the new stuff. I guess you never grow out of what you grew up with though right?
Not to mention it was shit festival to begin with, with giant corporations sponsoring and food vendors selling water for 3 dollars a bottle in scourching heat... ya know, basically the EXACT OPPOSITE of what woodstock should of been.
As I remember it was more than 3 dollars a bottle. was 4 or 5 for a slice of pizza.

Also, they sang on Friday night. The riots weren't until Sunday night. The course of events went something like this.

They gave every person attending a candle for some peace and love whatever reason.
Some people made little fires with their candle.
Some people made bigger fires with their candle.
The fire trucks came, and the show went on hold.
The chilli peppers returned to stage, and said, wow this place looks like the apocalypse.
They then played Sir Psycho Sexy, and then covered Jimi Hendrix's Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire.

fires got bigger (surprised?)
festival got closed in the middle of their set.
instead of Jimi Hendrix Tribute (Special Guest TBA) we got a small laser show as they played a recording of Jimi Hendrix playing the national anthem.

Now there were a couple hundred thousand pissed off people wanting the end of their show, standing in a field, with large fires all around them. And riot's broke out.

Not justifying anything that happened, but blaming a band that played over 48 hours prior for causing the riots is absolutely absurd.
