Since when America = World?

America being okay started equaling the world being okay when we developed the largest nuclear aresenal, and the most technologically advanced military the world has ever seen. Sure China has the largest standing army, but they're armed with out-dated AKM's and RPG-7s. Plus being the country with the largest GNP and GDP, and our currency being the most valued and widely used currency in the world helps, although the Euro is encroaching on that, but it's not as widely used yet. And no, I don't like Obama, he's a waffling POS. Everything he's said you can find an opposite for. Much like Bush, or Clinton, or Bush, or Reagan, or Carter, etc...

Pathetic." but if Obama does it, then it's ok! Either way, I think that the president should be able to relax just like any other human being.

Do we really need to know this? NO.

Really journalism as a profession needs to wake up. I know we are in a recession and "hearing the nice things" makes us feel better. You know sometimes hearing the bad things will spur us into action.
