Have you ever played a game that you see it's a good game but for some unknown reason you just cant enjoy it?
I'm not talking about bugs, or type of game, or a certain feature of the game (cause in that case you know why you don't like it), but something you just can't put finger on that is not letting you enjoy it.

In my case it was Bioshock.
I see that it's a good game. I understand why it's so praised. I love the story, mechanics and the setting and everything.....but i just don't like the game. I got bored really quickly and never finished it.

So how about you?

Fallout. I love the setting and really think I would enjoy the story. But then Quicksandbox Syndrome sets in, I end up doing ALL the sidequests, lose track of what I want to do and grow bored.

Elder Scrolls games. Everyone loves them, but to me the gameworlds just feel empty and lonely and too vast and I don't see the point in them - they're just like an offline MMORPG. I can understand why people like them and they're of course massive achievements but I just don't want to waste my hours on them.

Mass Effect. It's a great enough game, I'm sure, but it just... never grabbed me. Plus, not being able to use a gamepad on ME2's PC version was just criminal, and ruined any hopes I had of trying to finish it.

I never got around in finishing any Civilization game. I really don't know why I can't be arsed to play more of it, especially since I'm a very patient man when it comes to these kinds of games.

Dead Space 2.
It's superior in most ways to its predecessor, however... Meh. There's something missing. I don't know, maybe i got used to silent Isaac or something...

This for me as well. To be honest, I thought the combat mechanics were shit, and seeing as I started on ME2 I wasn't really interested much in the story

Ehhh... kinda.

There are games I regard as good that I don't much like (hi there Skyrim, how ya doin'?), but it's not for unknown reasons. I know exactly why I don't like them, it just comes down to a matter of taste.

El Shadai, really good looking game, I mean amazing in this generation of games and I'm a really shallow 'gamer', but i can't hold myself to play it.
Maybe the shit combat?
Maybe the awful story and delvery of it?
I thought I was just going to love it.

Just Cause 2, theres no juxtaposition to the explosions and bullets etc, story is pretty retarded. It just didn't engage me, it was yay too easy, 'like playing the game, with the cheats on', Yahtzee said that, but he said it was his favourite game of 2010. The map was actually too big and followed by less valid complaints.

Space Marine, I thought I was going to enjoy it, as an over the top shooter. It didn't, controls broke it for me, among the shit story and gameplay actually, maybe one of the worst games of 2011.

Welp thats my complains for the week.

Farcry and by extension Crysis.

The entire time I was playing those games I was thinking 'Why am I not enjoying this?'

Legend of Zelda ALTTP, OOT and Majora's Mask. Just these ones because they are the only ones I've played. The thing is, I like watching friends play them, I just don't enjoy playing them myself for some strange reason and I normally dislike watching other people play games.

Starcraft 2 I suppose. A lot of people enjoy it and seem to think its a great game. I gave it a fair shake, constantly trying to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Brood War but I just couldn't do it. Too many little things and a few big things kept me from ever enjoying it.

Any zelda game after OOT. Don't ask me why i just can't play them . I csn replay OOT AND and any zelda game before though.

Also i'll agree with OP and say bioshock , played it , and couldn't stand it ( i finished it though). I can see why people like it but i couldn't get into it .

Also fallout 3 and new vegas , i mean i love obvlion but those two games didn't do it for me for some reason.

Half Life 2. I can see that the gameplay is solid, the engine is fantastic, the animation and voice acting are way above average, and I would even concede that the level design is good. I just found it... kind of boring.

Ditto. The people I work with all went nuts for El Shadai I can kind of see why they liked it, I played it once for about 3 hours and have no desire to go back to it. It would be my worst purchase of the year if Brink hadn't turned out to be so terrible.

Saint's Row 2. I loved the first game and the third looks pretty awesome, I'll probably get it some time. But the second just didn't move me at all. To me it just felt exactly the same as the first but with just more stuff thrown in for the sake of it. It's not necessarily that the stuff wasn't fun in itself (some was, some wasn't), I just couldn't bring myself to be enthused by it.
