Now, I'm sure that a bunch of people are looking forward to some of the big releases this year, like Skyrim, Portal 2 and all the rest. However, which games are you looking forward to that aren't getting that much attention? For me, it would have to be Brink. That game looks like a blast to play, and all of the media I've seen for it has only made me want to play it more.

Does Dead State count in this category? It should count in this category. If it counts in this category then absolutely without question Dead State x100.

Brink obscure? I've heard plenty about it, even on this very site.

As for what I'm looking forward to, I'd have to say Journey, by the same people who made Flower and also "No Time to Explain" an upcoming indie platformer. Other than that, I, like many other people look forward to the biggies that you already mentioned.

Does Atlus still qualify as obscure?

Or am I going to have to start hating them, because they're "cool" now?

Anyway, Catherine.

I'm not into the indie scene. Too PC/iPhone focused. Understandably, of course. Just not my scene...

Brink, definitely, although i wouldn't count it as obscure, exactly. I'll be spending the 56 days until release trying to convince the rest of my friends that it will be awesome

Dark Souls for me.

I loved Demon's Souls, so playing what is essentially a sequal, with all the improvement that entails, shall be awesome.

I don't hear anything about Hunted: The Demon's Forge and I am really looking forward to it.

Duke Nukem: Forever, Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age III. Pretty sure nobody's heard of them, might be wrong :)
Oh, and the next in the Pokemon series. Anyone ever played them? They're awesome, you like run around with little monsters and shit beating the crap out of other people's monsters. And they pay you for it!

Catherine and Child of Eden, not that they're terribly obscure..

Also looking forward to whatever else Gaijin games decides to port to PC. Bit.trip runner is fucking amazing.

I'd say Brink falls well in the category of upcoming big games.

Nuclear Dawn gets my vote. The description of combining FPS and RTS seems promising.

Obscure game I don't tend to look forward to in advance, more stumble upon at/after release. Surely if you hear about a obscure game before release its due to marketing, which doesn't make it obscure?

As its been said Brink isn't obscure, lesser known, but far from obscure.

I would have to say Rock Of Ages by ACE team, the guys behind Zeno Clash, expecting something completely different again and it looks like it will be.
