Are Doublefine iffy as hell as well? I posted before that I don't have absolute faith in Obsidian being able to make a really great game, like the old bioware rpgs, but that doesn't mean that they are iffy. I don't see what peoples problems with crowdsourcing is. If a company can cut out a middle man publisher they can save money. Double Fine Adventure would not be in production if they hadn't found a way to cut the middle man. With digital distribution such a big deal now some companies don't need massive publishers like EA, etc. Its obvious that publishers also have an impact on the game the developers are making. I decided to give Obsidian the benefit of the doubt and pledged $35 for the game. I can spend my money on whatever I want and I don't care what other people choose to spend their own money on. And finally, when someone uses Kickstarter they agree to a contract. That contract controls the exchange. If someone doesn't like they don't agree to it. If obsidian approached investors formally their would also be a contract. Now lawsuits. Contracts!
