Laserdiscs.

Pretty crap picture quality when compared to Bluray or even DVD, but with the proper gear a movie is a movie is a movie, and 5.1 surround sound is good enough for me. And I just like to fondle big, record-like covers with proper pictures and lots of text, not to mention the genuine collector's edition boxes that came with awesome, splendid, unbelievable stuff compared to today's... what, one-time codes, short-lived websites and downloadable crap?

Are they still pressing vinyl records?
Aye. British electronica and so much more can still be obtained on vinyl, which feels and handles better. I'm one of those that prefer the sound of vynil records, even. It just gives me a good contrast to all the digital stuff I'm bound to put up with day after day.

I was like that too till I realized you can read in the dark though. It was like rediscovering reading again for me, my job has alot of down time in a dark area.
I definitely hadn't considered that advantage. I'm reluctantly moving over to ebooks anyway over a process of many years, but it's going to take a lot of time to sell all my physical copies. They're also a lot cheaper than physical copies I think?
Usually. For example I got the full lovecraft collection for $2.99.

"I almost never buy a game that isn't atleast two years old, so maybe that counts?
Sorry, I really can't afford it.."

I can never afford new releases, so thats why I mostly buy retro. I think I got a little more cynical about new games when I realized that I'd spent 10 hours playing that new Dreamcast title (Headhunter if anyone's bothered) without finishing it when I paid £45 for Syndicate and blew through it in 5.

I don't buy Obsolete items like you guys, but I like looking through old, broken down houses. I was having a field day in North Carolina last week, when I found a truck from the 50's, all rusted and weed grown. It was there, just sitting there. Another time, I wanted to walk down some disused railroad tracks. I knew they were disused because of the way the tracks were close to the trees, and the lack of Railroad Crossing signs when they intersected with the road.

Edit: THere is a Doctor Who quote and I can't remember it. Damn.

My PSP is the King of Portables.

Custom Firmware, Custom Theme, Plugins that improve performance, 2 Photofast Adapters (fake, but still work alright for me), with 2 32gb Memory cards in each of them (128gb of memory on 2 cards (2x32gb Class 4 2x32gb Class 10s) baby! Now I'm cooking with power! HAHA!), Remote adapter (good for listening to music on the go), and I still buy PSP games over PSN to put on there. (I also own all the other games I have on there. Bought on retail and ripped for convenience)

Oh, and a Thrustmaster Battery grip that improves useability and battery life, a PSP 1000 battery (in a 2000 model), and stashed inside it is the other memory card, and a FFIV cleaning cloth.

I love my DS, but a PSP unlocked to its full capabilites just blows it out of the water!

(I still have like 55gb of space left (35gb on media card (class 4s), and 20gb left on my games card), and I haven't even put any movies on there yet! :D)

Playstation Vita says what!XD

Yeah. It's kind of a shame I ended up opting for the 3000 model when I got my PSP. Good system, but I never ended up using the extra functions, and it's not homebrew-compatible. I'm thinking of trying to find a discount 2000 or 1000 and cracking it at some point.

OT: I still have my GBA floating around, which I don't use super often, but still enjoy powering up to play some Golden Sun or Mario. My PS2 and Gamecube, too.

I hate digital books, which is why I still own a ton of physical ones. Also got a VCR and some tapes hiding in storage.

In addition, I still own a perfectly functioning Mega Drive, N64, GBA, and PS2 (which apparently counts). Although, I still have the latter set up due my failure to own a PS3. My Gamecube, Xbox, and (maybe) Playstation are somewhere in storage. I also recall finding a Tetris NES cartridge in my house.

I still use my first cell phone (a flip phone) that I bought 3 years ago. Despite not being a smartphone, it's still a very handy multi-purpose tool (alarm clock, calculator, calendar, notepad) that I rely on fairly heavily, even without taking into consideration its main function as a phone.

I also use my 2GB MP3 player from time to time. And correct me if I'm wrong, but can smartphones be used as flash drives? (that would render my 16GB flash drive obsolete as well)
