Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All

My friend just showed me these guys a few days ago. Apparently they're a "rap collective." Normally I'm a metal head, but there's something... oddly appealing about them. For reference:


This song is about a guy who asks a girl to prom, but gets turned down. So he kidnaps, rapes, and eats her in his basement. So... yeah.

If you've heard of them before, what are your thoughts? Despite being absurdly dark, are they "good" rappers? And if you haven't heard of them, why don't you head to YouTube and take a listen? They're interesting to say the least.

Goblin just came out to incredibly mixed reviews. I'd say their best albums are Bastard and EARL, but they have a lot of good material. Not sure how well a thread about them will go on this forum, tbh.

It's interesting that loads of people who normally don't like rap love this group, it's obviously because they're not just the shallow hip-pop bullshit we get from most rap these days and it's not overly-macho gangsta rap. It's violent sure but it's toungue in cheek, these guys aren't claiming to really be the persona's they present in their music. It reminds me a lot of Eminem in his early days before he went decidedly more radio-friendly.

So yeah, they rule. I just missed out on getting tickets to their show near me, they sold out in under an hour!

I was hoping that was the case. I haven't looked into it much, but if they were playing this straight, I wouldn't be able to take them seriously.
