Have you ever had something completely abnormal happen to you in games?

For me it was an event match from SSB:Melee.
It was where you had to kill a giant Yoshi once, and you had 3 lives.
The first time I started the event, the Yoshi just walked off the screen in less than a second.
All of my friends asked "How'd you do that?"
Eventually they all assumed I had L33t Hacker Skills.
I'm still trying to get people off my back about how I won't fix their computer for them.

What about you?

I once saw this naked Dark Elf being Chased by a Deadredoth made to look like Godzilla in the depths of an Oblivion cave

Yup, when mods go bad!

Elder Scrolls Oblivion, I was walking along and a horse spawned in front of me and galloped around... Upside down, it had an imperial guard on it who evidently was fighting something in the ground because he chased it around in circles. ( I notice Bethesda likes to get you when you exploring).

Another Oblivion occurrence...and one I've seen multiple times but still don't understand. I'll walk outside of a particular town (can't remember which, but it's ALWAYS the same one) and there's two imperial guards dueling with bows and arrows. There's no rhyme or reason for it. They're just out there shooting each other up.

Inadvertently appearing on top of high places in Guild Wars and being completely unable to get back down because you weren't supposed to ever be there so there were no stairs/ramp. This was especially hilarious when you were the one the NPCs were following, oh ho! Fortunately the last time that happened I was able to direct the fellow I was playing with through the hordes of monsters he could no longer fight on an equal footing towards a cutscene trigger point, which got my character unstuck by teleporting him to where the cutscene ended.

I'm so glad they've since added a /stuck command.

My friend and I were playing splitscreen Halo 3. It was a custom match, but the only things I changed were the weapons, speed, and gravity. Health and damage were the same, keep this in mind.
He had a full overshield and rocket launcher and I had a single SMG. We were both running at each other; I shot him a few times and he killed me with his rocket launcher, and he just randomly died.
Lag wasn't a factor; we were completely disconnected from XBL playing splitscreen. We took a look at the replay. His overshield didn't drain at all, he just... died.

I saved the clip; I'll upload it to XBL when I get the chance.

Perhaps it's because Bethesda's games are too big for them to fix all the bugs in a hurry.
Perhaps they're just lazy. One or the other.

When I was playing KOTOR on the PC my game just started freaking out and then the character models turned into abstract art for 12 hours...

and this one time on Half Life 2 when u first meet Kleiner I stacked crap in his scripted path so he can walk over them like a monster truck and he ended up on top of a computer monitor for a couple seconds until another one magically appeared in the corner talking his lines but was an enemy NPC and immediately killed me with a couple SMG rounds...

In Assassins Creed 2, I was doing a mission and right after I assassinated a guard I fell through the ground.
Did you know there is ultra clear water under the city?

Also my favorite one is how I jumped out of an air plane in Saints Row 2 and the wing hit me.
I fell like a statue for like 3 minutes before hitting the floor.

Edit: Insurance fraud in Saints Row 2 is fun, I ended up ragdolling in the air and somehow my ragdoll freaked out and my leg got stuck in the freeway, I started moving around slamming against the top of the freeway and then the wall next to it. I got like one million dollars before pressing the button that makes you get up.
I wish I knew how I did it, it would make getting unlimited sprint a lot faster.

Also, during a Hitman mission on Saints Row 2. A base jumper landed in an open grave with no parachute.
Oh that's an easter egg. :3

Not as weird as finding a bunch gore in the shape of a human skull floating in the air. And the game telling me I can pick pocket it.

Every time I play a Bethesda game, I find a magical new glitch.

The mention of Halo just reminded me of another one. Me and a buddy were playing Lockout on Halo 2, just deathmatch against each other. Picture this:

I'm positioned with a rocket launcher on the higher platform that overlooks the middle of the level where there's that one central platform with the glass bottom. Across from me, standing on the 'tower' where the sniper rifle usually spawns, my buddy sees me and I see him. As I fire my rocket launcher he hurls a plasma. As it arcs downwards it CONTACTS the rocket launcher and MORTARS into the air never to be seen again. My rocket continued and killed him, but we were both too busy being awe-struck over the mortar grenade.

I posted a thread of this before, in Oblivion I returned to some areas were I killed some campers, and their bodies were standing up in a scarecrow pose. I was freaked out, then I slashed their bodies and they collapsed. This happened only twice but the memory is engraved in my mind.

I've never had a problem with Morrowind, Oblivion and most likely added to that list soon will be Call of Kthulu. I have the game but not the time if you know what I mean.

In ARMA 2 when doing the agility course for vehicles you have to go over a mound of dirt which has more often then hot been on an angle where most of it is floating in the air. Never understood it but at least I always found a way to drive over it.

Oh! I found a guy just standing still, but the outer skin was gone and all that was visible of the sprite was the gore that would have been programmed to fly out if you had killed him with Bloody Mess or something. That was odd.
