I try my damned hardest to fight my way out of the game world to see how things run from behind the scenes and boy! Some of the creepy stuff I find!

I'm also a compulsive reloader and quicksaver
When I have to kill people in a game that allows you to move them, I drag them into somewhere hidden or I "frame" somebody else (often another enemy) even if there's no reason to
I always keep x number of any given healing item (e.g. at least 10 stimpacks at all times in New Vegas)

I have to top it off. I must have my all of my guns reloaded after any fight. This can be an issue in games where you lose any unused bullets in the clip...

I do also enjoy assassination, but I don't think that counts.

In the original Prototype, I would sometimes consume a soldier and then pretend to be a part of his squad, patrolling with them and fighting the infected. Now they've made it a major gameplay mechanic in the sequel.

I'm so anal about character customisation, it's not even funny.

Seriously, I'll spend ages crafting a character and then if I notice something that bugs me, I'll delete hours of game play just to rectify it.
This ^^
Except I also do that when concerning choices I've made previously in the game... it can really be just a single line of Dialogue, if I don't like it I can delete possibly up to an hour or more of gameplay.

OT: Umm I catch myself in 3rd person games like Mass Effect and Fable II (probably others but these were the first ones to come to my head), I would catch myself walking up really close to walls and rotating the camera so the screen is completely filled with just my Character's face, so I can see their glory out of cutscenes or menus.

EDIT:

Another one of my gaming habits that is only limited to Skyrim and/ or Oblivion is that I will create a really young character with shortish hair and no beard (if I play as a male char obviously), and then through the game I will keep opening up the "showracemenu" console command and update my character's looks, such as growing/ cutting off and colouring hair, as well as growing older.

Finally I tend to hide the bodies of people I've killed, or at the very least drag them a good distance away from the road.
I've been doing that in Skyrim recently, if I attack a group of Thalmore Justiciars I will always drag their bodies to some cliff edge or to the nearest river. It adds more fun about killing people you're not "supposed" to kill >:)

hmmm ... i don't know if it's unusual, but i tend to not use anything.
If there isn't an unlimited supply of something i tend to gather it like crazy.
Also i want to get everything perfect in rpgs.
Seriously i restarted the witcher 2 like 5 times.
"Wait that guy blows up the castle?" - restart - "She sides with Nilfgard? That *****!" - restart - "Fuck forgot to take that quest with me" - restart.
After that i made the mistake to mention to newboy that this amullett was magic, but wouldn't protect him and i got a book instead of the amulett.
Then i just thought: Oh, fuck it and kept on playing.
Was a good thing otherwise i think i would have changed my mind about roche and iorveth like a bazillion times before doing one mission in chapter 2.

In RPGs, if it is possible to find hidden items in the area (that are not clearly indicated or in some kind of chest) I will tap away in every corner of the area in hopes of finding some useful/rare/secret item that I might have otherwise missed.

It tends to be helpful about 50% of the time.

If a game contains physics, I go out of my way to exploit them in any way possible. This ranges from obstructing NPC paths to just kicking a box around for half of a level.

In any RPG where you can choose your classes I always pick the mage class before rerolling warrior. In every damn RPG. Sometime my friends just wait for me to reroll before starting a character with me..

I reload whenever I have the opportunity, even if I just shot one bullet.

It's weird for me. In RPGs normally it's just hack and slash complete quest get xp kind of thing, but when I'm playing just slightly drunk, for some reason I will read every fucking book I come across. If I'm slightly pissed playing Skyrim and I see a bookshelf containing many books I haven't read, I will spend hours reading them.

You must be the missing brother/sister I was told about.

OT: Besides character customization?

Probably how I save right before any awesome moment and do it over and over until it feels perfect.

But that's OCD for you.

I RP in crime sandbox games. I park my cars and somewhat obey traffic lights in SR3. I also refuse to just nab cars off the street. I have my signature gang vehicles and roll them around the city and to missions and such. I went as far as to obsess over my blue corvette clone in GTA III Vice City for fear of loosing it.

I go out of my way to save NPCs who can die. Such as in Skyrim, if I see a NPC in a fight I know they can't win I will rush over there and do my damnedest to save them.

Do this all the time. I took forever making sure my Shepard didn't look like the ass leakings seen in so many youtube videos.

I also tend to organize my inventories OCD style,

and shoot into the sky at signs of victory.

I probably have many more. Just can't think of any right now.

In Rpgs like skyrim and fallout, after I'm done talking to an npc I tend to shake the camera up and down as if I'm nodding goodbye or thanks. Don't know why though.

I obey the traffic laws in No More Heroes.

Also, I play with the cat every time I leave the apartment, but I wonder how unusual that really is.
The first part is odd. The second part, not so much.

For me, in any game that allows it, I always taunt. If I am beating someone into the ground and there is a taunt button, I will take the time to taunt them, be it Sengoku Basara, TF2, or Madworld. When I'm hit while taunting, I say "There's always time to taunt!"
Heh. My catchphrase in those instances is "Worth it!"

Not sure if it's just me - but in RTS games, I tend to do two things:
  • 1. I always aim for a glorious struggle rather than an outright victory, even if it means doing slightly stupid or ill-thought through things. My idea of a great game is one in which I fought hard and just triumphed.

    2. Especially if I have the AI as my allies, I tend to copy them and pretend to be an AI... e.g., in Stronghold, I try to copy the castle layout / unit choice of the AI I'm paired with. Even if it's not the best (see above).

... probably evidence of too much time on my hands.
