the odd philosophy that i live by is one of how i view humans in general. Every one seems to think that humans are special, that we are the greatest thing to ever exist but in fact we are no different than any other animal. The reason humanity was not wiped out is due to intelligence, where other animals have claws, fangs, and fur humanity was smart enough to make our own means of survival. This does not make us better than other animals it only makes us different. It is odd to think of, true but the book i developed this from, and a few other understandings, was also very odd... one of the main caricatures was a talking gorilla... and it was supposed to be a serious book... yea weired...but the ideas it planted in my head did bring some realizations

I have the same "friends over family" philosophy as you do. Mostly due to my mother, that I love on some default level because she's my mother, but anything after that has been replaced with pure hatred. Friends are better I think, because you naturally gain and lose friends over the course of your life and that doesn't happen with family members.

My other philosophy is that life is a game with severely broken game design and no checkpoint reloading, but very well written dialogue and a surprisingly engrossing and engaging storyline.

Anarchemitis said:
Obi Wan Kenobi once said "Only a Sith deals in absolutes."
Yoda once said "Do or Do not. There is no try."
Which is interesting because both Yoda AND himself contradicted that statement, because "only" is an absolute, too.

My personal philosophy is treat others as I'd want to be treated, which admittedly is hard to keep up on the Internet. But in real life, I'm not a confrontational person at all. So I do my best to hold doors, help people, and whatnot. Even when I'm angry I can't bring it upon myself to take it out on those who don't deserve it. It's like this little part of my brain kicks in that says "SHUT UP! YOU'LL ONLY REGRET THIS LATER!"

Well my religion is atypical. I have always noticed most of my thinking was backwards from today's society which interestingly enough my philosophy says is a good thing. I do things to keep balance. Whatever that means depends on the context.

(sorry, I am not very good with open-ended questions like this)
