Technically the Gameboy & Gameboy Advance games were ports of the console games rather than games in their own right.Mornelithe said:Actually, the original was a Playstation 1 exclusive, so was the second. The 3rd and 4th were Gameboy Exclusives, the 5th was an Xbox Exclusive, the 6th was a GBA exclusive, and the 7th was an Xbox Exclusive. Looks like this series gets around.
Officially only 2 of the games officially make up what would have become 'The Oddworld Quintet'; Abe's Odyssey & Munch's Odyssey. Exodus & Stranger's Wrath were 'bonus titles' as originally each game in the quintet was going to have at least 1 bonus title to bridge the gap between the games (if any of you still have the original manual for Abe's Odyssey you can look it up they set it all out in there). However, after Munch's Odyssey did less well than expected (I believe due to swapping over to Xbox despite originally being slated as a PS2 game and changing the 2d for 3d) they were forced to scrap the idea somewhat. Shame, Oddworld was a cool setting and the idea of a complete 5 game arc set there, complete with at least 5 bonus games really excited me when I was younger and playing them for the first time.
