Have you played Oddworld: Strangers Wrath? It doesn't feature Abe or Munch but it's still a very sweet game.

The nearest thing to come out of Oddworld Inhabitants will be Citizen Siege, a movie =S Still, anything by those guys is going to be genius...

I didn't like Munch but I love Abe's Exoddus. I still haven't played either Oddessy or Stranger's Wrath but I heard way to many good things about them both.

I'm just glad to know that they haven't been left by the wayside. Abe's games were the pinnacle of puzzle and platforming, and I'd dearly love to see it continue in that vein. Munch's Oddysee kinda bothered me since it didn't really capture the atmosphere that the first two games immersed me in, often times playing out like a brainless RTS instead of a smart survival game. After Stranger's Wrath (which I hear was damn good fun, but I've never owned an X-Box and therefore wouldn't know), I've heard nothing big from the Oddworld Inhabitants team, and I was worried that they had just fizzled out.

This brings back memories... Abes oddysee was the second game i played(first being starcraft) with my cousin in australia. I can only vaguely remember the glory, the good ol gaming years of stories and innovation instead of prettier graphics,*sigh* oh, and a hero that farts and whistles, what's not to like.

then there was stranger's wrath, oh what a brilliant game it was and the story, wow, stranger is

Strangers Wrath was amazing, I bought an extra copy and kept it shrinked for when my first disc dies.

What sucks is my XBox 1 is starting to fail, and Microsoft in their stupidity refuses to add the game to the 360 backwards compatibility list. :( Yes, Microsoft, take your best game for your first console and refuse to let it run on your new console. Proof positive that XBox 1 = Xbox 360 Beta, and the Beta Test is OVER, epic fail.

You have to bare in mind, those looking for sequels, that Oddworld is the game, the subheading is the particular episode of it.

They explained ages ago (its even in the back of Oddyssey's manual) that Abe's Exodus was game 1 of five, Abe's Oddyssey did not count towards that final number (so was effectively a sub-game of the main series), Munch's was game two of five and strangers was game three I believe - unsure on the last to.

They were considering making one of the games kinda like a god/civ game but I havn't heard much on that in a while. To be honest until I heard about Strangers Wrath I was thinking the worst for Oddworld Inhabitants.

And I am still pissed off they canned the PS2 releases of Munch's AND Stranger's - especially as it was the same market who made the first games popular in the first place.

Stranger's Wrath was made of win. I want it again. Damn pretty and original, yet funny and satirical.

The CG Society [http://features.cgsociety.org/story_custom.php?story_id=2822] article and link to the book of it's art got me very interested in the visual design of the game. Alas I have not payed any of the games nor purchased the book, but I would enjoy either.

Oddworld was amazing!

It had me sold from the moment I read the manual. At the front of the booklet, where the start-up information is (you know, 'remove disc from case, open Playstion, etc etc'), instead of the usual sphiel they had:

"If we have to tell you how to turn on your Playstation, then this game is going to go right over your head, so return it now and invest your cash in a job training program. The rest of you know the drill."

I played the old ones for PS1 (AWESOME GAMES) never touched the xbox adaption, though. I'd love to see a return to lemmings-style puzzle games...

Yeah, I still have both the Oddworlds on my desktop, but I haven't played them in a while. They were really fun though. I believe I only got as far as the FeeCo Depot on the second one and I kinda stopped. I should start playing again. =D

A long time ago my dad got a moniter that came with the game free. It was pretty good, and I remember getting pretty far in it.

I played through both Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exodus. I even managed to save every single mudukon on Abe's Exodus (all 300, I think), but I only ever saved 97 on Abe's Oddysee. For Abe's Exodus there's a secret for finding all the hidden locations that make it a lot easier.

Both games were absoulutely excellent, anyway.
