Now i'm pretty sure most of you have seen Halo:ODST gameplay so no need for a intro. On to the Discussion.
I can't help but shake that the ODST soldiers are not like what we expect, i'll admit that they are highly trained and experianced war vets and that from what we've seen the game has been played on easy yet still how can a ODST be strong enough to beat down a brute within 2 or 3 melee attacks or how can one use a gravity hammer or even carry around turrents , there not one many army's like Master Chief who is 8 foot tall and has a huge amount of enhancements. the only thing that seems to match the ODST's feel is that their is fall damage. I'm not saying that ODST is gonna be a bad game because there more powered then we expect (ODST will be a great Halo game that we will all enjoy) i'm only saying that don't you think that ODST soldiers should be weaker and rely on stealth, squad work and ambushing rather then confront the enemy head on.
Just my opinion. Whats yours ?
The whole point of the new game is that we see the combat from a new aspect, and the game does revolve more around stealth rather than head on attacks. That said, stealth is often a more useful element anyway in the original trilogy, especially on Hardcore mode. But I digress. Besides, according to the related Halo media, the ODST's will still have the strength to carry stolen Gravity Hammers around and so on, because their power armour is (according to the novel The Fall Of Reach) simply a very early version of MJOLNIR armour, so although they're nowhere near the strength and speed and so on of Spartans, they still have better skills and attributes than your average UNSC Marine. So it isn't as bad as you think. They still maintain all the stealth aspects and so on because I can't see a single ODST being able to take down a squad of Jiralhanae (Brutes) without either a lot of backup or a rocket launcher, or maybe a sniper rifle. One, maybe, head-to-head, but not a whole squad. But rest assured, all this is handled correctly in the game, according to the press releases from Bungie and Microsoft.
