With big I mean
1:publishes high quality triple A games
2:Has big name game studios (bioware, relic, infinity ward, etc)
them

If i had to choose i would pick THQ
Because their business practices dont keep screwing over consumers.
They do have online passes but you can still do the multiplayer you only have a small limit.
which is a good business practice.
They have handled warhammer 40k surprisingly and even though the games are yearly they are well made well priced and fun to play.
And they are risking 50 million dollars with warhammer:dark millenium Their first MMO

so yeah i dont love them but i respect them for their good choices.

Valve, Capcom and Ubisoft are the 3 i love in that order. I also used to tolerate EA, but since they started adopting online passes and Origin i just lost it for them.

id. Haven't played Rage yet, because it's a $90 game with no demo' (which from what I've heard doesn't work on most PC's), and Zenimax sent my dad a warning for our modem having a torrent going to it, but D°°M³ and Quake are among the games that make me play games.

I'm pretty sure that's not true with all their games.

Valve, Capcom, THQ. Managed not to screw up constantly with anything. (except for Valve Time, that is. ...)

Valve and ZeniMax Media.

From Fallout to Portal via Elder Scrolls.
Can't go wrong with that.

Neither Bioware or ID are publishers... you're saying you like EA and Bethesda.

OT: I guess I'm going to have to throw my hat in with Valve too, though I see no problems with THQ, I'm not a particular fan of their games.

Fucking Valve. It's like that cool friend you have that lends you money and buys you drinks all the time.

Bioware is a developer, published by EA.

EDIT: Damn ninjas.

INB4 Val... oh wait.

Ubisoft is my favorite. I'm a bit pissed off with them for their DRM practices lately, but I can forgive them because they publish so many great games, and don't seem to indulge in half as much douchebaggery that many others do.

I do like Valve as a company, but Portal and Portal 2 are the only games from them that I've really loved, so they miss out on the top spot.

CAPCOM, but only for Clover Studio...WHY DID THEY HAVE TO DISSOLVE?

Other than that, Namco (or Namco Bandai now) mainly because of Tekken and SoulCalibur, and Valve, obviously.

Really?

REALLY?!?!?

How much DLC skin packs do we have for Dawn of War 2 and how much has the game changed to utter crap?

Sorry but THQ died to me.

EA.

*GASP*

Yeah. Honestly, they make the best games. Yeah THQ doesn't do anything to offend me morally, but neither does EA really and they have Bioware and a few other studios I'm quite fond of.

Could be that I don't ever really use multiplayer or buy used games that project 10 dollar doesn't bother me at all, and the connectivity between their games is actually kinda nifty (I got free armor in DA2 for buying Dead Space 2? Coolbeans).

Used to be Ubisoft, but then they decided to be assholes to PC gamers and... yeah.

Blizzard - They have the best history for developing games I absolutely love.

Nintendo - Similar to Blizzard but not everything made is gold. Still, I've not been disappointed by a Mario Kart, Mario Brothers, Zelda game yet.

EA - Tons of great titles primarily under the Bioware developer but not strictly limited to it. They may have the market on sports games, but they do absolutely fantastic job with them.
