Id Software. While their newer games have lost some of their charm, and disregarding the driver issues on the PC version of Rage, they seem to be more dedicated to making the consumers happy rather than making money. I get the feeling that now that they are owned by Bethseda that could change, and I fear for the day. I hope that Doom 4 and the Quake reboot that Mr. Carmack mentioned end up being as awesome as Id games should be.

Nintendo and Valve.

Sure, NoA is pretty much an entirely different company from NoJ or NoE, and Valve is an absolute rip-off artist in every single online store for their games, Nintendo will always be about 3 years behind, and Valve Time is pretty much its own joke at this point. But these are just a few minor gripes.

They both release high-quality, polished, enjoyable games. They give the fans what they want, and are trying to actually change up the industry. They can actually justify the sequels that they make, and each of their games is worth every penny.

And while Valve's crates might be a blatant attempt to force people to go to the store, neither of these two have truly given in to some of the worst temptations in the industry (online passes, on-disc DLC, retailer-exclusive DLC, releasing a buggy game under the promise "we'll fix it later".)

hmm... I'll say that publishers that haven't pissed me off so far are Valve, THQ, Bethesda and Atlus. Sony and Ubisoft are barely on the line of acceptance if only Sony stopped being arrogant cunts and Ubisoft stopped treating PC gamers like criminals. That being said I mostly support individual developers, not their publishers.

Edit: Oh and Konami can go fuck themselves.

So far, I respect Valve the most.
Every other big publisher tends to treat their customer like **** and see them as consumer jeans full of money whereas Valve actually act like they care for their fans

Isn't 2K affiliated with Zenimax somehow? Anyway, if not those two. And Lucas Arts, I've never met a Star Wars game I didn't like, excluding the RTS's because I can't stand the genre.

EDIT: Then there's Atlus, Nintendo, Naughty Dog and Insomniac. <3

Nintendo because I have all their consoles (not handheld) and absolutely love the Metroid and Zelda series + they have other great games.
Blizzard for Warcraft III absolutely fantastic!!!
Blizzard, by itself, is a developer. Would be Activision-Blizzard that is the publisher.

As for me, THQ. I love all the games they put out and, unlike some people, I can ignore the DLC I don't want and only get the ones I do.

Bungie & valve are close, but my favorite would have to be EA, though that's mainly because the company has given me so much and is a great place to work.

ATLUS is my number one. Valve running a good number 2.

They both make truely unique titles, but ATLUS really knows how to tend to the fanbase.
(Making animes, good special editions, remakes for different consoles, etc.)

Probably Naughty Dog as far as developers go, they seem to have a real commitment to quality while I'd have to say Valve publisher-wise.

I love Bethesda. It's true that sometimes they'll put out DLC that isn't ready yet but for the most part they put out DLC that actually adds to their games (like the horse armor for example). DLC aside, they've been a haven for people like me who prefer strong single-player games. 5 Elder Scroll titles and not a single multiplayer aspect has been attempted to be stuck in there

Of course, I have yet to play Rage or, Demons Forge or whatever that 2-player RPG thing was.

I am, will be, and have always been a Nintendo lover since my first game up to now.But I also love Valve. Both are still pretty good companies to me.

Valve for sure, then probably cd projekt red(as far as developers go), the guys behind the Witcher games. Both companies know how to treat their customers well and consistently release high quality games.
