Look! A bunch of developers that completely missed the narrative of the movie and just want to bank off the name! What a fucking shitshow...
Great, it's Scarface: The World is Yours [http://www.cracked.com/article_19333_5-video-game-adaptations-that-missed-point-movie.html] all over again.
Actually, Scarface was fine as a game, IMO. If you looked at it as a what-if alternate dimension take on the ending. This game, however is a blatant cash-grab with absolutely no sense of self or style. At least Scarface felt like its source material.

Thing is there isn't that much action across the Kill Bill movies besides the big Crazy 88 fight (which takes about 25% of the first movie). You have the (brief) duels with Vernita Green and Elle Driver and that's it. And the animated O-Ren flashback, and the training with Pai Mei, if you count that. I imagine that would be the tutorial. A Kill Bill game would have to make up a good 2/3 of the action.
Don't forget the first boss: Pussy Wagon Guy. And of course there's digging!

Pussy Wagon Guy can be a QTE boss, sure. And the whole digging segment can be a rhythm game.
You know what, I think Suda 51 could get a game out of Kill Bill.

A Reservoir Dogs game that revolves around shooty heist action?

...

Okay, I'm not an expert on film or that particular movie, but isn't that kind of missing the point? Like... by a lot?
It couldn't miss the point more if it was pointed in the opposite direction as The Point in a different continent than where The Point was.

I think Rockstar should just let Tarantino write their next GTA.

Edit: Now, if Payday wanted to make a Reservoir dogs DLC, that would make more sense than John Wick.
Play as Mr. Blonde, get no penalties for shooting civilians? :p

Well, at least we know it's not going to be desperately rushed to completion, so it can release alongside the movie.

No, it's gonna be desperately rushed to release so people don't blank and forget the announcement on the 'Who would even care?' vibe.

Wtf could a Resevoir Dogs game possible entail? Driving away from a middle-aged woman with a pistol? Flailing on the ground bleeding out? Cringing from a knife?

'Cuz that was the whole movie. The good shootout happened off-screen.

That'd be like getting the property license for The Big Lebowski. Another one of the most random movies you couldn't make a game for... Wait, no there was lots of bowling in The Big Lebowski, so you could just make it a bowling sim.

Short of them making the next GTA more self-authored, hell yes to this. Rockstar loves dialog and eccentric-leaning characterizations, but they've become almost parodies of themselves at this point with almost nothing interesting to say. At least with Tarantino it could be entertaining again. They could also jump around in the timeline to stave off plot drag.

I'm such a cheap bastard. Saw it for $6.00 on Bluray at Bestbuy and want to show it to the boy (he loves Tarantino but has not seen this, American Romance, Jackie Brown and, we're only now finishing Kill Bill 2) but turned it down. I have it on DVD. Now to find the bloody thing!

Wow, that looks horrible.

However, an actual role-playing game, just the ROLE-PLAYING, in the Reservoir Dogs' world would be great. Think Mass Effect along with the "lie detecting" of LA Noire but with just the role-playing, choosing dialog and making choices; no combat.
So a Telltale Game? lol. I mean they have "combat", but its the most tacked on excuse of a thing.
