I have three d20s that I use for Magic. Never really gotten into any other kind of a tabletop game.

Which brings me to the question: why are there different kinds of dice used in games like D&D?
Well aside from different weapon damage outputs, different classes and races have to roll different dice for their stats.

When my berserker levels up for example, I roll a d12, add my constitution mod, and add that to my Hit points. The fighter in our party rolls a d10 instead.

I have maybe... 3 or 4 regular six sided dice floating around? I used to use them way back in the day to play that Mechwarrior table top game. I remember they were this really pretty black and green since Jade Falcon was always my go to faction. Unfortunately all that stuff got packed up and buried somewhere in a closet.

I never really remember them being any luckier than regular ones for me, but I had an old golden moose coin I held onto that once got me nine heads in a row at a Pokemon tournament once. They told me I couldn't bring my moose anymore after that incident...

I have about... 20 i think. Arkham horror requires a lot of dice if ya wanna do it properly. Nothing says overkill like 16 dice for only 3 successes (5s or 6s). We use a set of lucky dice (the ones which came in the box because they're tougher and better quality) if we really want to win something.

"Daniel, bring out the lucky's and the box! This one's gotta win!"

I have 12 six-sided dice. At the moment, even my most powerful Shadowrun character doesn't need more than 11. And if the damn campaign doesn't get started, SHE NEVER WILL.

They're some really pretty dice, though. My webcam can't do them justice but they're a pretty blue and purple swirled together with gold dots. I feel super classy with these dice.
