Where do you live? and is it close to Edmonton? Should I be worried?IndomitableSam said:snip
Manitoba. Apparently this blew in from Minnestoa. It's heading East, I think. So no worries.Andrewtheeviscerator said:Where do you live? and is it close to Edmonton? Should I be worried?IndomitableSam said:snip
Yeah... I do hate you. My parents are retiring out to Qualicum or Parksville next year, so I may see about finding a new job out there. I hate winter too, and there's really no family left here when they leave.Athol said:As someone living on the southern end of Vancouver Island, I feel obligated to say the following: HA!IndomitableSam said:-Snip-
It's s sunny and clear 20c right now...and even in the dead of winter it'll probably never get lower than -5.

Wow, Snow that early ? Even for Canada it pretty harsh. No snow in the east yet but we had a few 0 or -1 so farIndomitableSam said:It was +25 Celcius here this past weekend.
Today?
... Sigh.
Yeah, it's rain/snow for the rest of the weekend, then it's up to like +10 again next week. Long term says even warmer again after that, but who knows? Tyoically we don't get snow till mid October, then it doesn't usually stick around much till Halloween. November is when it's always below 0. Last winter was crazy though, next to no snow (we usually get a ton, being on the prairies) and quite warm. Still was -40 sometimes, but we sat out on the (south facing dark wood) deck (in coats) with coffee on Christmas.cathou said:Wow, Snow that early ? Even for Canada it pretty harsh. I'm in Ottawa and, though its grey and miserable, I'm seeing postive temperatures all week, mostly above 15. It might dip down to 1 degree (Celsius) on Sunday, but we aren't seeing god awful weather yet. But, uh, you live in Manitoba. That province has a well-earned reputation for snow.IndomitableSam said:Manitoba. Apparently this blew in from Minnestoa. It's heading East, I think.
