Oh God WHY??

Just a small question I'd like to ask. hopefully someone knows a workaround to this issue that just saw the light of day and hopefully will never, EVER dare to show his face around any more.
So yeah I was writing something awesome (lawl no, just one of my usual over-the-top replies with way to many words in it) in the reply box at this forum, and then suddenly my arm came up with the brilliant idea to twitch and pull forward, while having a secret conspiracy with my index finger - their idea was to press the left mouse button as soon as my eye's saw this shiny little white arrow on my screen pointing at another shiny little button at my browser bookmarks, resulting in a very much empty reply-box when my mind had overthrown the conspiracy and brought every limb and bodily-extension back in line.

Long story short: OMFGWHEREDIDMYTEXTGOWTFNOOOOOOOOoooooo.....

Is there some kind of cookie/security feature I can install to my browser (firefox) so that it tells me not to leave the damn page like a delicious ice-cream that had the urge to fall off its horn, resulting in a very sad face, very much like the one I'm pulling right now?

There is an app for firefox call Lazarus 2.3 that is suppose to help you restore lost posts, emails, and other texts if the browser crashes. I have it installed but i haven't had cause to use it yet. Of course you are not dealing with a crash but it might be able to restore something you accidentally delete. I dunno.

Browse for add ons and search for Lazarus form recovery. You might have to do the search while browsing, I couldn't get it to pull up from the add ons page.
