My issue/anger with SMT IV is that I can't play it yet. Being a UK resident it's just not been released here yet, tis very frustrating.

Can anyone here possibly explain as to why the localisation is taking so long? I mean the US game was released on July 16, 2013 so it's not like it needs translating.

I'm part vexed and part bamboozled!

I heard for European version, they need other languages like French, Italian and such too before they can release it.
Plus, publishers who handle localisation for NA are usually different than UK publishers.

Did it ever occur to you that you were meant to play the Law Ending? For instance, maybe some small part of you wanted to fight on the side of the Angels?

It is guaranteed to get the neutral ending if you do things exactly right. One move that even slightly deviates from the course and you'll be stuck in one of the other three options. I know because a similar thing happened to me. I wanted neutral, thought I was doing good, but got the law ending. I honestly don't think that any other ending is even a viable option. If you want to know exactly what to do here is the link:

Just so you know once you are stuck on the neutral path it'll be a long and troublesome journey.

So? They are not even made by the same team... Being mad at SMT IV for not being Persona 5 is just silly.

Except Etrian Odyssey 4, which came out months after the American release is literally the exact same game as the US version, they didn't even change color to colour and so on. It's just a case of lazy publishing, and I don't think Atlus realizes that they lose most of the customers they would have had in Europe by releasing so late.

I love this person.

OT: I'm in UK so I have to wait for all eternity for any SMT game. Just know there's going to be a 3 year delay when Persona 5 is eventually released everywhere else and that greatly saddens me.

phew im calm and reading some of your responses helped. I think one problem is that theres no consensus on what to do to get neutral(one of the guys says theres a BUNCH of side quests that you MUST do to get the neutral ending on gamefaqs) and sadly I chose to do as many as possible. My desire to flesh out the world was my down fall

So how quickly do you think I could beat the game on a second run through?

and also to the guy suggesting I subconciously wanted to side with prim and proper jonathan. probably so even though conciously I couldnt help but like walters side sometimes.

You want to make sure you're neutral, leaning chaos. It's easiest to get the neutral route, that way.

Yeah, neutral is a pain in the ass to get in SMT 4. I also wound up with Law i my first playthrough. turns out the best way to get neutral is to pick the first option in every dialogue tree, and I do mean all of them. avoid sidequests until after your locked in to neutral, Neutral has you do a lot of sidequests so you can (sigh) gather the spirit of hope so you can feed it to the demon Masakado. Just why your giving Masakado a snack is a secret until you go neutral. But yeah I hear ya, Neutral is a pain to get without knowing how to get it

And this is why SMT fans hate Persona fans, even if that was a joke.

Also I'm tired of playing it mostly because I keep getting lost on the map and fighting the same weak demons is boooorrrrriiinnnngggg.

I feel your pain.

I also somehow ended up with Law.

It's a shame, I kind of liked Walter. Both he and Jonathan are kind of awkwardly shoehorned into their respective alignment by the end of the game though...

My issue with Persona 3,4 or "future 5" is that it's not as heartful and smart as original Persona 2 Innocent Sin

Strange, my issue with Persona 3 and 4 is that they weren't SMT 4 ;D

Being a Brit, I still haven't played this. I'm getting ready to murder.

I'm just going to have to try and satisfy myself with Soul Hackers :[
