You know, I really can't think of anything I'm actually waiting for.

There are a few games I'm vaguely interested in, like Dead Rising 2 and Batman: Arkham City or maybe The Force Unleashed 2, but nothing really sticks out.

I was waiting for Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and now that that's out, well...I guess I'll have to wait until something really catches my eye.

Not much for me in the way of hype/excitement. It's hard to get excited over a bunch of sequels to be honest. Maybe I'm too jaded.

My recent list and how they fall/fell short:

-Diablo 3 (Uses Bnet 2.0. Diablo 2 left me more than a bit jaded on the concept of grind in rpgs.)

-Starcraft 2 (Came out. The game exceeded my expectations, but also introduced me to Bnet 2.0 and the new "Big Brother is Watching" mentality Blizzard seems to be taking)

-Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution (I'm torn. On one hand, it's Deus Ex and the developers continue to claim that they are trying to keep the core concepts that made the games good in the game. On the other hand, it looks like a console-title. In this market that's basically a death sentence for any sort of "deep writing" because marketers apparently think the average consumer will be scared away by anything more complicated than Halo.)

-X-Com (So...yeah. This looks nothing like X-Com. None of the style, the feeling of dread...I don't know. What I've seen and heard does not bode well for me. It's sad and pathetic enough that people are now openly claiming how "worthless" turn-based strategy games are [not to mention how wrong these people are], but now I have these same people telling me how awesome it's going to be to have another generic-looking first person shooter [GGGAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! ENOUGH!!!] on the market.)

The supposed Soul Calibur V, but i want to see if it still carries the spark. considering the developers really only made it becuase of a petition. I think they should make it like an RPG maker game, where you make a character and build a story around them.

However, other games i'm ACTUALLY excited and glad for are Catherine (by the persona crew) and the also supposed Persona V. The persona game series always does so well, or at least above average compared to teh crap clogging the market. Sure, tehy dont ahve to be good, but tehy dont see that as an excuse to not by good.

I'm not allowed to buy any new games until I finish more of the ones I currently own. This self-imposed rule might even enable me to get these new arrivals at a lower price, depending on how long it takes me to get around to them.

Between Pokemon Black/White, Civilization 5, Guitar Hero 6, Battle Chess, and Fallout: New Vegas, I was already looking forward to being bankrupted over the next month. I was excited for DR2, but cut it from the list because I simply didn't have the budget. That's another title that I'm really, really itching to play now.
