Hey Escapist, long time reader/viewer reporting in.

Been vising the escapist for years to watch the videos/read the articles and I've always been meaning to sign up to the forums but never actually have.

Thought I'd kick my post count off by introducing myself to a massive community who will forget this post in half an hour.

My name is Mike Worthy, most people call me Worthy. I'm a twenty one year old Australian university student who (like most of you guys/girls I'd wager) has a keen interest in video gaming, both competitive and casually.

I currently play Halo Reach (and soon GoW3) a lot. I'm actually in the process of changing my GT (deciding on a new one), so I'll update my profile page with my GT soon if anybody is interested in playing.

I also enjoy watching/playing most sports, and I enjoy anime.

I've seen several introduction threads over my lurking period, however I'd rather not start off with a topic completely devoid of discussion, so instead of just rambling about myself, I'd like to get to know some of you guys/girls too!

There is not that much awesome about me. I'm from Perth, WA. I used to be a nun, and I'm fairly laid-back. So there's that, I suppose.

My hobbies are, obviously video games, currently perfecting my Mass Effect 2, playing Blue Dragon, Enslaved, and Enchanted Arms. I also like to write novels and read books and manga. Watch anime (just finished Samurai Champloo which is pure awesome on the screen).

As for what else is awesome about me...um...hmm......I.......don't know.....I like having pink and blue hair?

Welcome to the Escapist forums, good sir.

I go by LawlessSquirrel in the vast variety of gaming environments, but 'Lawless' is frequently used for short, which works for me. Occasionally 'Squirrel', but Lawless works better.

My age is my own business, I'm afraid, so I'm going to pull the whole middle-aged-woman thing and leave that out, but I'll say we're in the same age bracket. In fact, I was a uni student in Australia up until just last week, when I officially withdrew for a variety of reasons.

As for hobbies...I like making things and designing things. Card games, board games, short stories, 2d and 3d artwork, etc etc. Creativity is my forte.

Point of interest? I'm an indie game designer working on a prototype for now. I'm not saying that as a cry for attention; I have experience in the field, have training and such so I do know what I'm doing, but I wouldn't claim it to be of value until I have enough to show for my efforts.

Anyway, enjoy your stay. Just use common sense and I'm sure you'll find it an accommodating place. Despite the occasional bitching, the mods are fair in their actions around here.
