I am quite impressed by your dedication. Tell me what material did you use to secure the screen to your wrist? Also how much does the pipboy weigh?
At the moment I'm using gaffers tape to hold it on my arm (because the stock latch is crap.). I'm working on a way to latch it better. I tried magnets, but they played with the electronics to much (made the screen go 'wonky').

It doesn't weigh that much more than it did with the clock in it, to be honest. I don't know the exact weight, but I would describe it as 'comfortible'. I'm sure if you had it on for any length of time the weight would be almost unnoticible(sp?).

It is quite hard to describe the level of awesomeness you have just attained. The fact that you did not get the achievement popup noise is astounding. In summation: fucking sweet job!

Very, very nice. You could probably make a tidy profit, too.
Actually, When I'm done I plan on writing up a niffty 'how to' so that everyone can build one. It's really not that hard. :)

It's pretty cool, but when he can do it with a touch screen and some kind of organiser to run while looking like a pipboy, then i'll be impressed.

I do enjoy these things, and it's very likely better then what I would have done, but being interactive rather then a screenshot slideshow would have been sooooo much cooler.

Keep up the good work and don't let nancy get you down.

how do people make stuff like this?! It always baffles me on how you get it to look realistic and the cricutry behind it, programming, lights, etc.
It's all just astounding to me...
Mad props man, amazing job, patent then sell.

Well, here's the thing. I can either (a) show you all how to build your own Pipboy very easily when I'm finished or (b), you all can give me stupidly large amounts of cash, which I would then have to turn over to Bethesda in the ensueing legal battle, when they should have just built a decent prop and taken all of our money to begin with.

It's really quite simple. :)

Now all you have to do is somehow attach/incorporate a storage compartment that is either inside or attached to the PipBoy, and whenever you put something new in it, just add it to your "Items" screen. It's like when a girl tries to find something in her purse and can't find it... without the "not being able to find it" part.

Alternatively, install individual slots in the base of said compartment and wire it the buttons so that when you press one, the PipBoy slides open and pops out the slot that you selected. That would be useful for carrying/retrieving pencils and pens at school :D
