I've got the drawing of ...And justice for all http://music.avenew.ru/albumarts/31.jpg on my right arm. I wanted it for about 10 years or so and funny enough it's just such a part of me I don't even notice it anymore.
Good luck finding one that fits you!

I have no interest in getting a tattoo, but if I'd ever get one I'd get something simple and not too flashy.

I have numerous tatt's. Got my first one as soon as I turned 18.
A bust of (western style) red dragon on my shoulder - didnt hurt in the slightest tbh.
A tribal horse on my lower leg - my god, now THAT hurt.
A nordic band around my upper-lower arm - didnt hurt much.
I cant be bothered to name the rest but they are my fave's.

I'm never getting a tattoo and truth be told, I would never date someone with a tattoo. I do not care at all how nice you are to me, that tattoo has to go first...

I've been considering it recently. A few people said they may get one during Escapism UK 2010, but we'll see how many actually do on the day.

If I did I'd get either:

or

It's not all that painful. Although keeping it clean and shit for a few days after is annoying as hell, same thing as piercings.

If ya got the money and the will to do it, go for it. Or don't, I don't think I'm required to care here.

Edit: Just please, please don't be some douchebag that gets badly translated words/symbols in Asian languages. It's annoying and stupid. If you don't speak the fucking language, don't bother. And if you do, think twice.

Nah, it seems pointless to me. I don't like the idea of decorating my body with something that I can't remove later. What if I change my mind and don't like it afterwards? I'm beautiful just the way I am *beats eyelashes*

I plan to get the quadratic formula tattooed on my shoulder, and if I ever manage to become a published author the ISBN/bar code for my first book on the back of my left hand. It's cool because it looks like a lame old bar code tattoo, but IT'S NOT.

I really want the arm dragon tattoos that Rand has from the Wheel of Time series, but those are kinda big and flashy.
Who cares if they're big and flashy! They'd be fairly awesome to have.

OT: I can't wait till I get my tattoo. I'm just getting a simple Yin and Yang symbol.
Do you know the ones I'm talking about, or are you just saying that it doesn't matter if the tattoos are flashy?

I've got my wife's name on my ring finger, a vampire bite on my shoulder, a knife going through a skull with "Live Fast, Love Hard, Die Young" on a banner that wraps around it on my leg, a wolf head on one arm, and a cross (the one I regret) on my other arm. I'm considering getting a jigsaw piece done but not sure where...watch "Saw". For those of you who haven't seen it, imagine what it would look like if somebody used a scalpel to cut the shape of a jigsaw puzzle piece in to flesh. I'm also planning on adding to the wolf head...not sure what else I'll get...by the way, they all have meanings to them.

You mean like this pic?http://www.aradanicostumes.com/images/photos/randalthor/potrait.jpg http://www.aradanicostumes.com/images/photos/randalthor/tattoos.jpgAlso, the level of pain depends on where you get it. My arm tats didn't really hurt but the one on my finger and shoulder kinda stung...especially when the artist was adding the blood over my collarbone. It really only hurts at the places where the bone is colse to the skin from my experience so that tattoo looks like it would sting.

Well I've read the books so I know the ones you mean. I'm also saying it doesnt matter if they're flashy. If you want them, get them.

I'm the complete opposite. As I've mentioned I've got loads of tattoos and will get loads more and I find girls with tattoos more attractive. I see plain, un-tattooed skin as plain and normal, like a blank canvas that should be covered in beautiful tattoo artwork
I hate tribal tattoos, armbands and dull, unimaginative and meaningless stuff like that, but if it's colourful or interesting then it's awesome and adds intrigue to a person

EDIT:

Personally, I would either get a triforce symbol under my collar bone

I don't like tattoos... I find women with tattoos attractive, but I would never want to be an old woman with 'hellraiser' and leopard skin tattoos. 'Grandma, why does it say 'Born To Be Bad' on your wrists?'

'Well, pet, because I was an idiot when I was younger.'

I actually kind of envy women who've had the balls to get them, but I never could.

I have 2 and I plan to get more!

I have a naked lady on my side going from hip to ribs and I also have a feather on my left arm spanning across to my shoulder.

Yeah they're pretty gay, but I'm a woman so I'm allowed ;D

Once I'm 18 I'm getting an Opeth 'O' (spoilered) either on my side or my shoulder blade, and a Welsh dragon over my heart. If my career allows for it, I'd like full sleeves.

The way I see it, a tattoo might look crap once I'm 70/80.

But once I'm that age, I'm really not going to give a shit about my physical appearance.

Mind you, if you get something like 'hellraiser' or 'born to be bad', then you probably deserve feeling like an idiot afterwards XD

I've had ideas for tattoos go through my head, but I've never actually thought of getting one. Just can't think of anything that would really mean something.
