I am yet to play a Witcher game, but I got the first one on my Laptop recently... waiting until I have finished an essay before I start it though... I know it will be my kind of game, and I am looking forward to playing the entire trilogy!

Will it have a console release again too?

It's shaping up to looking great and I'm sure this will be a great addition to the console owners as well.

With that said I'll probably get this for the PS4 since my current rig is not exactly up to spec to handle the game at full graphics and I'm not piddling about to find which hardware is better.

It's been confirmed for PS4 release, not sure about XBone or Wii U, but really with this kind of game you'd probably want to import your save.

If my medium-high PC can run this game at medium or above settings I will be a happy camper.

I can't wait for this game, it's most definitely my most anticipated title of 2014 and best of show @ E3 this week.

If CD Projekt Red can pull off everything they've been mentioning in terms of scope, scale and story then there will be no way I can buy this game fast enough.

It may be because I'm an idiot but I'm currently stuck somewhere in the second act in the witcher 2. I can't get past a certain part because the event marker is telling me to go to a place I can't figure out how to get to, and whenever I get anywhere near it moves, then it moves back when I go to the next location. Too open world and I get lost. Anything like that and I won't be getting witcher 3.

Looks fucking awesome! One of the things I was worried about seems to have been destroyed by this trailer. What I was very worried about, was the scale and sense of scope. That has always been well achieved in the first two games, but going open-world style, I had visions of Skyrim's tiny towns and it feeling like the whole country is just a glorified backyard. This trailer seems to sway me otherwise though. The environments look huge and well scaled, as does the city. Very happy to see that.

Music is awesome as well. Geralt's appearance is okay, though I assume it's subject to change. I know you can customize his appearance in-game, so like Witcher 2, as soon as I get the chance, that pony tail is coming out. Haha. As for the horse riding, it seems decent enough. I doubt any game will match Mount & Blade in horse riding, but this seems like a good enough effort.

All in all, pretty excited. I'm planning on playing the first two games, and reading the books, soon to get into the series again, as well as create a canon character of which to import into the third game.

I have Witcher 1&2 on my PC, I have yet to complete them.

I should probably get around to that.
Ha, me too! Started 1 but got so pissed off when I accidentally sexed it up with whatsherface in the beginning, when she'd two seconds ago received a potion to save her fricking life - that's when I'd feel super horny too! NOT - I couldn't go on. Then there was her awful outfit, the deadpan VA - regardless of what language I chose it seemed - to accompany the utterly dead faces... May try again in the future, but people say Witcher 2 is much better so may just skip 1 for that.

OT: Can't watch the video right now cos my bandwidth is shot, but from the pictures posted it looks very pretty. Still want to try playing Witcher 2 first, but it's on my backlog. Waaaaaay in the back of the log.

SKYRIM!

Nah, it looks a little more interesting.

Do I have to play the previous games to adjust the universe or are they good for standalone games?

Man I am so hyped for this game. Slightly worried as third games in series seem to be hit or miss recently, but I'm sure CD Projekt RED know what they're doing.

I'm actually okay with his costume, it looks more form fitting, which makes sense as he's an agile, acrobatic fighter.

The animations look really nice and fluid, although I hope that they go more towards Geralt's fighting style in the first Witcher, where it was more unorthodox and really animalistic and feral, whereas in Witcher 2 his style was a bit more of a 'traditional medieval swordsman' kind of thing.

Here's the sort of style I'm talking about from the first game:

I can't wait for The Witcher 3 and to complete Geralt's journey. Ship sailing looks like it could be pretty calming and the horse riding looks great. The combat looks more fluid too. Luckily I am pretty sure I won't need to upgrade my PC to play it
