Jill Valentine: She's got combat training and know's how to pick locks, always a helpful thing.

Bayonetta: She fights angels and is a witch armed with some funky guns, the living dead should be a snap for her.

HK-47: It's a battle droid with a ton of guns and enjoys killing meatbags, how could I not have him as part of my group? :D

Speaking of Jill, I think I could go for some Resident evil characters in my party (if they were loyal anyway)
-Tyrant
-Nemesis
-Prototype (pretty sure thats his name. The final boss from RE:Survivor)

Kratos, Sephiroth, and Wolverine. So basically if they decide that zombies aren't enough for them anymore they can take their anger out on each other in a never ending battle while I run away.
I'm sorry to point this out but Wolverine isn't a video game character because even though there is a full length game where you control him, I am too immature and pretentious to understand that this is just a pointless thread made for fun and creative posts. Please excuse me while I go troll the other users who are just trying to respond as well.
Just thought I'd fix that last post for ya.

OT: My pick would be Liberty Prime from Fallout 3. Who wouldn't want a giant robot who shoots lasers and shouts hilarious anti-communist quotes? Plus maybe I could put a saddle on him and ride him like a horsy . . . Maybe

Its my topic, I think I know how it works.
If I wanted comicbook charters this wouldn't be in Gaming it would be in Off-Topic.

Its funny how you call me a troll when I haven't insulted a single member.
I am just reminding them of the rules of my topic....

Your choice WAS a video game character, you clearly understand this topic.
Why did you even feel the need to lash out at me for no reason?

Alright, let's see.

1. Almost any spartan from the Halo games - I don't want Emile, that just seems like a bad idea.
2. Samus Aran
3. Eh, we'll just stick another spartan here.

I picked them because they have huge armor and they're still able to move fast, and I don't think that they would have a problem shooting things that look like people.

Quite an interesting group you have there.
Armored heroes huh? I think I have a good third for you instead of just another spartan.
Maybe Zero from the megaman franchise? :)

Okay, here's my crew:

Master Chief
Wrex
Morrigan

Beat that!
Not to familiar with the last two, who are they?
Blasphemy!

Anyway, Wrex is the most badass Krogan ever and Morrigan is a powerful witch.

Wrex:

Master Chief, Dante, Kratos. Instant win. Master Chief can be replaced with Alex Mercer for mega win.

I'd take Wrex from Mass Effect because he's a massive battletoad. I'd also take along Mace Windu because lightsabers. And stick in Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly, which should need no explanation.

What's with all the people picking the close combat or crazy fighting style people? They'll be the first to go! Wolverine would go down after killing one zombie because once he retracts his now-zombie-bloodstained claws, he'll be infected. Kratos would be absolutely covered in zombie blood after fighting enough of them, and there is a really good chance some blood would get into him somehow (probably through the mouth due to all the blood splattering). Same things goes for every Devil May Cry (or God of War) style fighters.

My three partners would be:

Samus Aran - Infinite beam ammo and, according to Other M, recharging rockets which basically makes it infinite rockets. The suit would also protect from bites.

Legion (from Mass Effect 2) - Robotic body so the threat of infection is removed. Robotic efficiency and precision, making it easy for it to shoot the zombies through the head regardless of what weapon I give it.

Liberty Prime (Fallout 3) - Just like Legion he's a robot so he can't be infected. Can throw mini-nukes and uses laser beams that vaporize his foes quite easily. Also I would just need to say that all the zombies are communists and/or threatening the U.S.A. and he would be happy (as happy as a robot can be) to get rid of them.

And for those worrying about a power source for Liberty Prime, if he can efficiently fight 200 years after a nuclear war has wiped out the majority of Earth's population he should be able to fight effectively for a good long time. Even if he can't, as long as we can take the Pentagon (where he is stored and presumably powered up) we can keep him powered up a good deal of the time. Legion could work all the machinery and computers if me or Samus can't do it even if their are firewalls or anything like that (he's an advanced machines from hundreds of years into the future for goodness sake). Honestly, this team would be a little broken but hey, when it's survival that's on the line it doesn't really matter.

Samus Aran (assuming she gets her power suit)
Solid Snake (I mean... common, it's snake)
Gordon Freeman (Because he's a bad ass with a crowbar, and we all know how useful a crowbar is during the zombie apocalypse. And if you can't think of why then you probably won't live through it.)

SW:TFU's Starkiller so he can use the force and annihilate them.

Perfect Dark's Elvis with his uber accurate OHK Farshight

And a TF2 Medic so he can heal and ubercharge us.
What good is healing and ubercharging you if a single bite ends you?

Kratos, Gordon Freeman and TF2 Pyro.
Those = Awesome.
I'm not sure having the pyro on your team is a good choice, I mean... flaming zombies? Those are worse than normal ones!

John fucking Marston. I want him on my team. He knows how to deal with zombies and he's right amazing with any weapon you hand him.
Not to mention that even if he becomes a zombie he's still on your team.

Optimus prime isn't a video game character. Other two are fine tho

*kahem*

http://www.gametrailers.com/game/transformers-war-for-cybertron/12451

also there were 2 other transformers game on the PS2 the TF armada game and the japenese fighting one.

still here is another list:

urdnot wrex (badass)

urdnot grunt (blows stuff up)

and the shaman from ME2
Just because he was in a game doesnt make him a video game character.
Hes a cartoon character who has been IN a video game.

I don't understand why people have such a hard time understanding this....

The reason I made this topic in the gaming discussion was because I was interested in peoples gaming dream teams.
If I wanted to hear about Comic/cartoon/novel/movie characters I would have made this topic in the off topic discussion thread.

Don't think I'm insulting you friend, because thats clearly not the case. I'm just saying Optimus Prime is clearly not a video game character.
That's you opinion now isn't it?
Prime was a cartoon character FAR before he was ever in any video game, plus he said they had to originate from a video game in the first post...
